Maybe someone could explain to me the reason why amazon raises and lowers prices. More specifically, I had the JL Doom dvd in my cart yesterday at $15.99 (approx) and today it was raised to $17.99 (approx). was the lower price a sale? This yo-yoing of prices has happened before, but I never gave it much thought but I am curious.

I've never heard them of raising prices. Unless a sale was over. You sure the movie wasn't on sale?

No, I'm not. Maybe I just put it in my cart before it was available not paying attention to the price and then missed on the sale by a day.

Quite a few articles out there about this happening. http://www.google.ca/search?q=amazon+pricing+changes
Maybe try a different browser or computer.

I've experienced this quite a bit over the last few years, they seem to change the price of items daily at times.

It has happened to me as well. Sometimes the price lowers too so you really gotta strike while the deal is hot, that's what I've learned.
