Let's hope so. These guys are $16.99 on Amazon.com. Considering my comic shop who often charges high price for figures only priced the Classic Turtles for $24.99, TRU should be able to do better than $21.99

Found them here in Vancouver (TRU BOWMAC) on Weds and bought all 4, as I only saw one Raphael! The price stinks, but the figures are really nice, so what are you gonna do? :)

For the 4" figures it's not that bad imo, considering what you're getting with all the weapons.

So this. At $10.99 a pop, it's pretty easy to pay given how awesome the figs are and how many accessories they come with.

Did a little weapon modding for Mikey though (and Donnie): added real chains to 'chucks, 3-section staff, and the Kama-whatever that Mikey comes with. Waaaaay better now!

Toys R Us in Hamilton, Ontario got them, not a lot but a few boxes of the ML style, the new cartoon, the van and roleplay. I imagine Vancouver should see some soon.

I want the little guys. Any sightings outside TRU? That is literally the worst store these could possibly end up an exclusive at. There's not a TRU around me for miles and miles.

I just picked up all 4 turtles. They scan up as 5in figures, not 4 which was strange. But otherwise they are really cool. I want to do some paint touch ups to make them outstanding. But otherwise I really like this figures.

price wise, you got a better deal if you went over for over things instead of just them. I picked up the only 2 figs I saw while I was there earlier this month.

Big B Comics got the 5inch ones in stock too. Got Krang. What a POS, I mean the robot part. Krang himself I kinda dig, even though a bit small. Almost no useful articulation in the robot. I should fix that. Glad the turtles are loaded with articulation.

A REAL Knucklehead?! :)

I thought you just insulted me for a moment :P then I had to dig deep in my memory and realize you were talking about that fist robot thing! I am s ure someone online has built one already, there are some pretty amazing customizers out there.

I always liked this http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m7930wyBCF1qdthdro1_500.jpg

I may or may not put chains on mikes chucks...i did a test run with that blade weapon he has

http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg717/scaled.php?server=717&filename=chainmp.jpg&res=landing

http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg849/scaled.php?server=849&filename=chain2v.jpg&res=landing

I used a thumb tack to put a hole through one of the chains loops, and a screw to round it out...cut the extras off the end, and then used a keychain to loop it through. People say that it takes away from the action shots, if you take one of those clear twist ties and push it through links, the chain will bend to your liking. I am still iffy about trying it on the actual nunchucks..if i ruin those I don't want to have to go buy another one :P

Finally found all the classics at a TRU:E today. Really great update on the original toon versions.

I will say though, in the past couple of days I found only about 3 complete sets while looking, and 1 each of Donatello, Raphael and Leonardo had problems visible in the package. Donatello had 1 foot "floating around in the pacakage. Raphael had his whole right arm not placed properly in the package which clearly was causing stress on the joints pressing against the bubble. Leonardo had one sword placed improperly and it looked like the sword was bent in half.

I get the feeling the packing team isn't doing quite a bang up job so double check carefully before buying these guys.

That said, I really think they are pretty great. I have unknowingly started a "Classics" collection with MOTUC He-Man/Skeletor, "Classic" Lion-O, Mummra, Tigra, and now the Turtles. Add in the MP Optimus Prime and Sideshow Duke and I have a fairly cool updated collection of 80s characters. Now someone please bring on the "Classics" versions of the SILVERHAWKS!!!!

Where do you find chains?

Dollar store keychains. Or craft store chains. Some bend easier than others. Gonna use white hockey tape for the wrap instead of paint.

Are all the Toys"R"Us' only getting one case? Seems like the couple I stopped only got one case of the 4" figures, as all the pegs have been empty. I can't believe they're selling out, didn't realize they'd be this popular. Hopefully they'll restock this week.

I couldn't agree more, I was not expecting the new stuff to sell out so fast. Heh, I finally found the 5" turtles at WM during the weekend. It shouldn't be too difficult to find these guys once WM starts putting them out.

I found an awesome utube video of the 2 diiferent sets bud:

Although I like Playmates version as it reminds me of the TMNT cartoons I grew up with and are very screen accurate, the Nickelodean versions have alot more 'character' to me anyway especially in the facial expressions plus at $10 a pop you can't go wrong!

I've lucked out and completed the Classics, and only need Leonardo to finish the Nickelodeon set.

I have no interest in Shredder, Splinter or April.

Overall I have to say that the Classics obviously rule. Nice and big, amazing articulation and exactly what classics should be, updated versions of classic looks.

The Nickelodeon versions are pretty amazing as well. Nice stylized look with nice little touches, like extra weapons, and, nicks and cuts on the turtles themselves.

Much love and credit to the designers from someone who isn't a diehard Turtles fan.
