A Marvel Universe (http://www.actionfigurenews.ca/boards/showthread.php?t=854) revision case, dubbed series 2 for 2013, has been released in Canada. The figures in this case all come from older waves (nothing new) and are renumbered, some repainted, and come sans Shield/Hammer files, stands, and comic shots. The figures in this case are: X-Force Wolverine (wave 1, new paint), Red Hulk (wave 4), Iron Spider (wave 9, repaint/repack that appeared in wave 22), Dark Hawkeye (wave 11), Thanos (wave 11), Astonishing Wolverine (wave 16), Ultimate Spiderman (wave 18, with new card art), Punisher (wave 19), Nova (wave 20), Captain America (wave 22), and Rhino (wave 22).

The sighting was made at a Target in Alberta.

To see what's been found in your area head on over to our Canadian Action Figure Sightings Forum (http://www.actionfigurenews.ca/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=19).

Kind of a useless wave... doesn't everybody have these figures by now? I hope this doesn't hold back the real waves that collectors care about.

I dunno, I see this more as a positive thing. According to BBTS this is considered as wave 2 of 2013. So there could be a good chance that we'll get the rest. Kinda helps that they seem to be releasing these on multilingual cards (at least from photos I've seen online of wave 23).

No stands now. Not even a comic shot anymore.

I guess, but Hasbro tends to skip a wave (or two) in order to stay caught up with the US, so if there was a wave that could've been skipped I really wish it was this one. I'd rather see the Cloak/Abomination wave right now than more repacks.

The remnants of the Elektra/Mysterio wave at my Target aren't moving despite having been on sale for I think 2 weeks if not longer, which is worrisome. I tend to see this as a collector-line, not a kids line, and if the collectors already have these figures, then this wave will rot on the pegs all through Christmas and the stores won't bother ordering anything else past it.

Is it MU thats ending or Marvel Legends?
I thought I read that MU was going to be rebranded as part of the Avengers line

MU is the one that's kicking the bucket...

Isn't ML kicking the bucket as well? I think it was getting rebranded as well to relate to movie releases.

And it sucks to see the line goes....but on the other hand, maybe it's a good thing that I am going to spend less money on toys now that this line is ending

picked up the Rhino at the TRU sale. Wish Mysterio or Angel was in this wave

Well the figures will still be there, just under a different name, so your spending days are not yet over :) I keep calling the new line "Avengers Universe" as a psychological way of reminding myself that MU sort of lives on just under a new title. One hopes that it won't get transformed into a 5POA dollar store line over the long term though, without Vonner, who the hell knows what Hasbro is going to do to these figures.
