Which do you prefer and why?

This is a loaded question :D

For Star Wars I'd say 4 inch, the scale has way to much history to screw with now. Same with GIJOE.

That said for Spawn, McFarlane Sports or other lines the six inch format works the best.

What Sir Robimus said :)

We have loaded up on 12" figures on clearout this year :D

I really like the amount of detail that the 6 inch figures are able to deliver. Unfortunately the price point is higher for them.

4" all the way. I tend to favor smaller figures just because of space. The more detail that can be crammed into a smaller figure, the better. It's kind of cool being able to fit an army of figures all on one shelf. This past year or so has been a bonanza for me in terms of toy hauls.

i say 4 inch cause any bigger and the cost gets to be too much

but it would be sweet to see gi joes in marvel legends style.

Yeah, 4 inch is the perfect size and price range, especially for people like me who want one loose and another MOSC.

I've got to go with 6" given the way sculting and manufacturing is going these days.
Old school Star Wars are good at 3 3/4, but the more recent lines (DCIH and Marvel) look really thin and lacking on detail at that scale. Also the jointing is weak.

Have to go with 6" becuase of great lines such as MOTUC and DCUC.

I say 6 inch, cuz that average. Wait what are we talking about....

Right! Marvel Legends and DCUC have been the big cornerstone on making this scale worth it...

I like 4 inch scaled figures, the size lets me display more per shelf, and at 10-13 bucks you can't go wrong there

I say 6 inch, just because I find they're better actual figures. I like SW figures, minus the vintage-style articulation on some, but I just think 6 inch ones display better and usually have more joints.

The best vehicles and playsets are almost always those designed for 4" figures.
