Hi everybody,

I just wanted to pop in and introduce myself, I am the owner of a new online toy store, and a new sponsor to this site.

The site, as you can see by the thread title, is www.canucktibles.ca. Our goal is to provide a wide variety of toys, action figures, and collectibles with a focus on Canadian customers. We conduct all of our business in Canadian dollars, eliminating those additional currency conversion fees.

I have been a toy collector myself for over 15 years, collecting a wide variety of products. I started collecting McFarlane Toys during their heyday, and over the years have expanded to just about every domestic collector toy company that has existed. I own product from every toy company whose product we carry, as well as those that are sadly no longer in business. I'm also a fairly active member of the online toy community, keeping in touch with what collectors are interested in. I hope to spend more time on this particular forum going forward.

We try to keep our pricing comparable to the larger stores, whenever possible. There will continue to be some adjustments in pricing as we figure out which suppliers can give us the best costs on particular products.

We will also have more savings opportunities once our current promotion ends.

Whats shipping like to Calgary?

Our shipping rates to Alberta range from $15-$25 for most orders. Larger orders (over 5kilos/10lbs) become more costly to ship. Most orders will ship the next business day via Canada Post expedited.

I honestly wish I had a clear answer on the Black Series. It is my biggest frustration at this time, as there is a lot of demand for it but the product flow just isn't happening right now.

No worries, I ordered a Spidey Legends Daredevil as well, and only read afterwards we shouldn't combine pre-orders and in-stock items, oops! Sorry about that, I just got excited when I saw you existed, and that you were awesome! Long live Canucktibles!!!

Don't worry about that too much. It's really just so people don't combine something in stock with something due months on the future. Or pre-orders that are due months apart. Putting an item or two aside for a couple of weeks is not a big deal. It really just complicates the whole payment process when you're dealing with larger time spans.

This is interesting to hear from a retail perspective. You order SWB and they...just don't come in? I heard this years ago from a comic shop near me - they were ordering JLU figures from Mattel, but they'd never send them. And then Mattel would say there was no interest!

For us it's (I hope) just a timing issue. When we placed our orders some of the waves were already in a "backorder" status, which really doesn't offer any ETA. I'm assuming everything will flow fine with upcoming releases though.

Some of you may have recently noticed delays with specific items from us. While distribution to Canada does often take a bit longer, some of these delays have reached a point that we no longer consider reasonable or acceptable. These delays can be beyond our direct control, however we are constantly re-evaluating our supplier options in order to offer the best balance of expediency and cost, and have made the decision to refocus and make some changes to our supply chain. As a result, we do have a small backlog of products that we are working through our current suppliers. We have been able to re-source some of these products through alternate channels, and are already seeing movement on their fulfillment.

We are not sharing this information to pass off responsibility, but rather to be fully transparent regarding our operations. We are hoping with the changes we are making, we will be able to reduce these delays (at least beyond those by the manufacturers).
