I'm staying just outside of Port Coquitlam for a couple of days and was wondering what comic stores, shops, antique malls or flea markets worth hitting for figs, preferably loose or at least with a good selection. I'm looking for Marvel, DC and GI Joe. I have wheels so I can get around so location not an issue.

Hello, welcome to Vancouver :). Since you have wheels, there is a toysrus on lougheed highway. Toytraders in Langley. Big petes in lonsdale north van. All a bit of a drive from where you are but toytraders will be worth it

Go to ToyTraders. Huge selection and lots of loose figs.
Other than that place, Vancouver is lacking in good toy stores.

Don't go to Toy Traders. You won't like it.

Just kidding. Toy Traders is awesome. Enjoy. I don't know any store like it anywhere.

Toy traders was awesome. Best comic shop I've been to. It was like one if those toy stores you see in the movies but doesn't exist in real life. Thank you for letting me know.

I went today and they were pretty picked over. They are still in transition into the new store. You need to go when they have stuff. Like the next few weeks when the new Star Wars items are released. Can't wait until fall when all the Christmas shipments arrive.

I was impressed with the variety of stock today. I can't imagine what it's like when it's restocked. Unfortunately I won't be able to hit it till next summer.

Never been to Toy Traders. Do they have 6" Black Series there? Also, do they charge MSRP prices or comic book shop prices for their figs?

Toy Traders tend to be very reasonable. More toy store prices vs comic store. Some items are priced higher due to rarity or difficulty in obtaining. If it is new it tends to go for retail. I find them fair. There are also coupons in the local coupon books.

Not a lot of 6 inch SW at the moment. They did have Han and the Tauntaun yesterday. I think they may be sitting of SW stock until the end of the month. Lots of 12 inch SW at the moment.

I was impressed with prices all around. Loose and variants were reasonable and newer items were comparable with TRU and Walmart. I didn't notice any 6" SW black but then I wasn't really looking either.

You might find Toy Traders to be a buck or 2 more expensive than other comic book stores but a store their size and with a good selection, it's understandable.

Toy Traders is an awesome store. I've always been looking for shops with impressive display and Toy Traders have surpassed my expectations. Definitely worth checking out even if you aren't looking for anything in particular.

Metropolis Collectibles right across Metrotown is also a great place.

RX Comics on main street is a small shop but they are having a sale this weekend and ends next weekend I believe. Might score some good deals.

Taz Comics is usually my local comic store so I need to mention Taz. Nice section for sports collectibles and very friendly staff.

If you are a Transformers fan or 1:6 figures fan. Also check out Age 3 and up in Lougheed Town Center.

Enjoy your stay!
