Calgary Expo This Weekend!

One of Canada's largest Pop Culture events, Calgary Expo (www.calgaryexpo.com) is taking place all weekend long at the Stampede Park!

The Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo (AKA: Calgary Expo) is a four-day pop-culture convention held in annually each spring Calgary, Alberta at Stampede Park. Attendees can shop hundreds of vendors and exhibitors, check out panels and workshops, meet their favourite stars and creators, and celebrate what makes them geeky with thousands of other fans in cosplay. There is something for every fan at Calgary Expo.

Special guests this year include Clarke Gregg(Agents of Shield), Alan Tudyk(Firefly, Rogue One), Finn Jones(Marvel's Ironfist), Stan Lee, Karl Urban & Steve Blum just to name a few. Guest artists include Alex Milne(Transformers), Mike Zeck(Legendary Marvel Artist), Marvin Mariano(Transformers) and tons more!

I checked it out today. The amount of Legends Hulkbuster BAF wave figs was awe inspiring. LOL. And at $20 each you know they aren't from Hasbro Canada.

That said I did buy a Thanos wave Cap'n Americhuk, because I know finding him in the wild will be nigh impossible with the amount of deviants about. At $20 it didn't sting as bad as it will on ebay in a month or two.

Sorry but I didn't spot any more Caps, and I gave the Vendor floor a fairly thorough going over. A few Mk. 43 Iron Men and Batrocs, not so much for the rest. Saw a few Absorbing Man BAF figs in the $30-$40 range, no Gwens. It's scary how quickly stuff got picked through.
I have to admit though, I avoided stalls that had higher prices.
$30 for a Spider-Man legends Boomerang? Sorry, not going to bother looking.
BAF pieces where just Thanos' head is $15? And another $15 for the the left arm? Whatever.

martens, there may have been an Aquaman in there somewhere, but I didn't check the boards before I left home so I wasn't looking for him. Odds are if he's popular/hard to find, scalper prices would be what they're asking at the Expo.

$80 Ahsokas? They had several. Bastards.

Awe that sucks, but thanks for checking, I really appreciate it. I'm sure one will come up eventually. I even thought about picking up another IronMan and give Thanos 2 of the same legs haha

There are deals to be had there, but mostly older stuff. Picked up a DST Star Trek 40th Anniversary Enterprise for $30! The first two waves of Aliens Minimates (16 figures) for $75, a Black series Darth Plagueis for $15, and Two LOTR Minimates 4 packs for $10. Also picked up a bunch of Marvel Essentials books for cheap. I would call that pretty good for a month, never mind two days.
