Hasbro PR has sent us a reminder that questions for the fourth round of the Hasbro 2009 G.I. Joe Q&A are due to them the beginning of next week, so feel free to post your questions in this thread by Monday, September 7th. We are supposed to get answers back by Friday, September 18th.

it was recently announced that hasbro destroyed a rather large amount of molds. There is fear that it means the end of classic style figures released dtc or via other offers like conventions or collectors clubs. There is another side of the spectrum that has full faith in hasbro and that these were duplicates or items that have all ready been retooled for the modern era style. What exactly was destroyed, and is there any cause for concern for fans of the classic style?

questions:
can hasbro explain why this happened? who made the decision to destroy these moulds?

more quesions:
why did hasbro canada not produce 25th canadian carded waves 1-4, 6 and 13?

and why did we not get a canadian card wraith variant?

also why has canada still not received dvd packs 3, 4 and 5 at retail while a silly little store called Marshalls in the US have received large quantities of them and are selling them at clearance prices for scalpers to scoop up and sell on ebay for a huge profit?

even more questions:
was moron wayans the first choice for the role of ripcord?
if so, why?
if not, who else was considered? and why did they not get the role?

1) Will any of the upcoming Wal-Mart exclusives for G.I. Joe, Star Wars or Marvel Universe be available at Canadian Wal-Marts? Who is the one who decides this, Wal-Mart or Hasbro?

2) Just curious as to why did two U.S. Target exclusive G.I. Joe vehicles (the Tiger Rat and the Python Patrol Conquest) show up at Zellers stores? This has happened on rare occasions in the past as well. Will Zellers continue to carry any future Target exclusives from any of your toy lines (Star Wars, G.I. Joe), as this would probably please a lot of collectors?

3) Will G.I. Joe: Resolute be released on DVD any time soon?

1) Walmart, Hasbro can offer but Walmart Canada needs to pick up the exclusive.

2) Since there is no Target in Canada they can offer those exclusives to other retailers such as Zellers.

Looking at some of the crap Wal-Mart Canada often clogs their toy sections with which have been literally sitting on the pegs untouched for 2 years (*cough* Bakugan *cough*)...maybe they should consider carrying exclusives for Star Wars or Marvel Universe that might actually sell. lol :p

Not sure if this has been addressed yet...

Why does the card for the Gi joe figure not have the picture of the figure. I have an Arctic Snake eyes and there is a picture of flint and others...whats up with that?

Yeah, cheaper to do one generic card for everything with french and english on it.

Hasbro has stated that the focus of the GIJoe line will be on the RoC movie universe, but will there be any classic style figures showing up in the line?

Will Hasbro be releasing any "real" characters in the future such as Sgt Slaughter and William "The Fridge" Perry?
