Flash II: The Flash is clad in a red costume with yellow lightning bolt designs. Splattered with lightning-chemicals, Barry Allen gained the abilities of super-speed and super-reflexes, which were ultimately expanded to include the traversal of dimension boundaries. Deciding to devote his new powers to a superhero career, he created his costume and named himself after the original Flash.

Psycho Pirate: Psycho Pirate is clad in a garish black and red uniform with a high-collared calf-length cape. Psycho Pirate is a master criminal and manipulator, capable of preying upon the emotions of others, when in possession of the Medusa Mask he is able to gain control of others by literally altering emotions, and is additionally capable of restoring any of the various characters eliminated during the Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Red Arrow: Red Arrow is clad in a red and brown tone with a black domino mask. Originating as Speedy, sidekick to Green Arrow, Red Arrow is adept in the use of various trick arrows, although he is similarly proficient with a wide range of weapons and is an extensively trained hand-to-hand combatant.

Martian Manhunter: The green-skinned Martian Manhunter is clad in a blue costume with cuffed boots and a high-collared cape. The Martian Manhunter is a shapeshifter with a bracket of super powers additionally including flight capability, superhuman strength, near-imperviousness to anything except fire, and advanced telepathy. He is one of the core members of the Justice League.

Blue Beetle: The Blue Beetle is clad in a dual-toned blue uniform with stylized scarab emblem and yellow goggles. Kord inherited the Blue Beetle role from the original Beetle, Dan Garret, and compensated for the lack of the power-imbuing scarab artifact by employing various gadgets and devices.

Bizarro: Resembling a grizzled zombie version of Superman, Bizarro is distinguished by his ungainly posture and by his off-kilter colors and reverse “S” insignia. Bizarro possesses powers either similar to those of Superman or else reversed versions of Superman’s powers, such as ice vision versus heat vision, his exact abilities seemingly left to device of creative interpretation.

Mary Marvel: The dark version of Mary Marvel is clad in a black costume with a short pleated skirt and a silver lightning bolt emblem. Mary Marvel’s distinctive black attire is reflective of her acquisition of Black Adam’s powers: Her initiation of the word SHAZAM imparts to her the following powers/abilities: the stamina of Shu, the swiftness of Heru, the strength of Amon, the wisdom of Zehuti, the power of Aton and the courage of Mehen.

Anyone else notice that Martian Manhunter has more articulation than the rest?

How is it compared to Marvel Universe? Mattel said that all new figures will have added articulation moving forward.

Yeah, he has the new articulation those Public Enemies 3.75" figures had. I would say it's more equivalent to Wolverine Origins articulation, rather than MU. The good news is that MM is of higher quality than the PE figures, which had a tendency for snapping limbs right out of box.

Flash and Wonder Woman still have the old articulation. MM has the same body sculpt as Superman and Batman. Only thing difference is his head and the molded on "X" on his chest. I think Mattel is trying a "do-over" with the DCIH line. The Flash that is appearing in stores now is the same as the original Flash release. There is another Flash (Barry Allen) out there that has the new body sculpt, but still has a T-crotch. Hopefully when Mattel says they're doing everyone over with new articulation, they mean the full-on ball jointed hips as well, unlike the new Flash.

Picture from someone at Action Figure Insider with an MU figure. Similar articulation, but no double jointed knees. Though it has balljointed hips rather than the GI Joe style hip bar, which IMO gives better range of movement.

Barry Allen Flash. Not quite the new articulation, but some mold changes from the original, like new hands.

Old articulation on left, new on right.

A lot of old DCIH fans who quit the line due to lack of articulation are now flocking back starting with Martian Manhunter. IMO, this is the absolute minimum Mattel has to do in order to compete with Hasbro's MU line. Hopefully they get better and better, because so many DC characters are amazing and iconic.

Looks like Mattel is definitely on the right track. I really hope they will "do over" the Infinite Heroes line with better sculpts in additional to the added articulation.

I hate to admit this, but having seen the latest wave up close in person, I still don't think the Infinite Heroes figures look anywhere as good as the Marvel Universe line. No offense to anyone who does like the way the Infinite Heroes look though. :)

In fairness, maybe I shouldn't be so hard on Mattel as Hasbro has been making 3 3/4" Star Wars and G.I. Joe figures for years. Obviously they've refined their design processes to a much greater degree than other toy companies attempting to make action figures in that size.

Toyark.com: With the announcement of new levels of articulation for the DC Infinite Heroes line in 2010, will you be revisiting characters that have been previously released in the line?
Mattel: Yup! That is the long term plan!

Based on 2 TRUs here, I'd guess Mary is shortpacked. Even a couple of great-looking MMs were still on the pegs...

I found these on clearance at a Walmart in Edmonton. 2 for $6. I picked up superman(#25) and batman(#34) Didn't recognize any others. None of the ones in the thumbnail above were there.

Saw a few of these at my local Wal-Mart last night. Batman, Superman, MM, they were on for like $6, but there is jst something about Mattel's 6-inch DCUC figures that keeps me from buying these. :D Guess I prefer the more detailed and articulated larger figures. :)

I picked up (black Public Enemies style) Batman last night for $3.00 at Walmart. They also had (blue repaint) Batman, Superman, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, and OMAC, to name a few. They must be clearing these out in anticipation of the new wave.
