This October 29th, 30st and 31st the Central Canada Comic Con will once again be taking place at the Winnipeg Convention Center in Manitoba's Capital. Weekend passes for this years convention are $25, with single day passes costing $12.50 each($15 for the preview night)

As well C4 will have all the annual events people have really grown to enjoy. Two costume contests, video gaming, RPG and Miniature gaming, an art auction, panels, workshops, exclusive movie veiwings and more.

The Manitoba chapter of the Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club will be out in force as well. Oppurtunities will abound for people to get pictures taken with awesome characters from Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Watchmen. Halo, Video Games and more!

General Information about Central Canada Comic Con
- Fastest growing event in Canada! In 2006, the convention received 3000 attendees, 11,000 in 2007 and a whopping 16,500 in 2008! In 2009 the Central Canada Comic Con reached an attendance of 18,000! In 2010, we are expecting an attendance of 20,000!
- Our Advertising Campaign is one of the most expansive for an event of our calibre. We send posters and handbills out to every store in Canada, and to stores in the US that reach our catchment area. (Our Catchment is anywhere within a 15hr drive of Winnipeg, MB.) In addition to this we run newspaper, radio, magazine, and digital display ads around Winnipeg.
- C4 is an all ages family event! This year we are supporting our Local School Libraries to help them raise funds to buy more graphic novels and books for kids to read. Posters and handbills go to the schools so all the students know about our event!
- Our event also has great exposure on the internet. Currently if a person searches for “comic con” via Google, we will show up first on the 2nd page! With all the conventions out there, we have the top spot! Go ahead, test it out, and try searching for Sci-Fi Expo!
- Our theme for 2010 is Halloween! We’re looking forward to a wonderful year with a lot of top notch artists and guests that will surely please the fans.
- Gaming! We have the largest Gaming Event in Western Canada with 15,000sq. ft. of Gaming Space! Literally ALL kinds of games are played and we always have room for more Game Masters! If you would like to take part in the Gaming, please let us know!

C4 has added Rebecca Staab to the Celebrity Guest list. In addtion to appearing on dozens of different TV shows( Desperate House Wives, CSI New York, Bevery Hills 90210, Cheers, Martial Law, Criminal Minds, Seinfeld and many more) she also starred as Susan Storm in the now infamous 1994 Roger Corman version of the Fantastic Four.

C4 has added Hollywood Stuntman(and one of the many men who has been behind the mask of Michael Myers) Jim Winburn to this years Con. (Yes, thats one of his scenes in the above photo)

Jim is primarily known as a Stuntman and has worked on over 500 films and televison series.

He was the stunt double for Michael Myers in the original Halloween. Everytime Michale Myers gets tossed or thrown or shot your looking at Jim Winburn under tha mask!

He has also worked as a stuntman(and stunt driver) on notable films and TV series such as Tron, The Fog, Escape From New York, Glory, Colors, Knight Rider, Hunter, Magnum P.I. and hundreds more.

As well Fantasy Artist Nigel Sade has been added to the artist alley.

I just found out about this today and think its kinda cool.

Los Luchadores Mysteriosos is a comic from two Winnipegers, Evan Quiring and Victoria Free and it features some real life wrestlers who will also be attending the convention like this fellow named Supertramp.

Its kinda a cross genre promotion and its Facebook group actually has more followers that C4 does. This comic has fans as far away as San Diego no less.
