Any idea when (and if) these are gonna hit our pegs? I know not everyone wants or likes these, but I really want that plastic man fig and the silver age bats is kinda neat too.

The only place I've seen these figs are at the Silver Snail this past weekend. Unfortunately, they only had a few undesirables left and they were priced at $14.99. I'm sure these will hit mass retail soon. This show has Canadian television support (Teletoon), and the previous The Batman figures were carried by our major retailers here (Wal-Mart, TRU and Zellers).

Please tell me that they're making a Sombrero Batman figure.

And if there's no way of getting a Platelet figure that Aquaman and the Atom can ride there'll be hell to pay.

I just wished these figures were the same size as The Batman figs (shadowtek, etc). Then I could have filled out an animated JLA

It's been implied (particularly in Journey to the Center of the Bat) that Batman only uses one Batmobile in the TBaTB-verse and that it can transform from car to boat to plane (we've seen it go from boat to plane in the aforementioned episode, but the car Batmobile might still be a seperate vehicle.) If they manage to pull that off in toy form it'll be the best thing ever, with the exception of Sombrero Batman, of course.

Spotted B&B Cybertank at a TRU in Mississauga. The vehicle set includes Blue Beetle and Batman. I think it was $30. No basic or deluxe figures, yet.

TRU has a BATB display up w/ TDK figs (as filler I'd guess) I really like this show and the 2 part season finale(?) looks amazing and daring! http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/news.php?action=fullnews&id=375

Also, IMO, to enjoy these figs I think you also have to really like toys . Here's what I mean:

As an action figure, it's not "perfect", but as a toy, especially through the eyes of an 8 yr. old it's sooooo cool!

I gotta say, I've tried to avoid picking up this line, but the 25% off sale at TRU and the cool as heck batmobile (and soon to be released Batcylce w/ side cart and Batboat) have got me hooked. I dig the Sprang inspired character design. I'm gonna try and stick to the more "classic" characters.

Is this show any good? I mean, is it more for kids or can adults enjoy it too? (eg: on the level of JLU, Superman Animated, Batman animated, etc.)

^^ im actually just as curious pud. a friend of mine told me it's pretty enjoyable for both adults and kids but more so for adults just because we mostly know the history of these characters. Plus he's a big JLA fan.

I LOVE the show, even though it's obvious it is mostly meant for kids and is no way on par with the DCAU. But, several actors from BTAS, STAS, JLA & BB do voice overs on the show from time to time, including:

Kevin Conroy (Bruce Wayne/Batman - BTAS)
Mark Hamill (The Joker - BTAS)
Clancy Brown (Lex Luthor - STAS)
Dana Delany (Lois Lane - STAS)
Adam West (Simon Trent /Gray Ghost - BTAS)
Tara Strong (Barbara Gordon/Batgirl - BTAS)
Richard Moll (Harvey Dent /Two-Face - BTAS)
Jeff Bennett (HARDAC - BTAS)
Will Friedle (Terry McGinnis/Batman - BB)
Jeffrey Combs (Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow - BTAS)
Oded Fehr (Kent Nelson/Dr. Fate - JLA)
Loren Lester (Dick Grayson/Robin/Nightwing - BTAS)
Kevin Michael Richardson (Carlton Duquesne - BTAS)
Carl Lumbly (The Stalker - BB)

And those are just a few off the top of my head. Other actors in the show include:

James Arnold Taylor of The Clone Wars fame, he does voice work as Green Arrow.

Star Trek: TNG star Wil Wheaton voices the second Blue Bettle, Ted Kord.

The Clone Wars actor Dee Bradly Baker voices a slew of characters from Clock King to Scarecrow.

Back to the Future star Tomas F. Wilson voices Catman & Sports Master.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen voice actor Tony Todd is Asaroth.

Transformers veterin actor Tom Kenney (also known for his work on Spongebob Squarepants) does the voice of Plastic Man.

All in all, it is not DCAU, but it is one awesome show regardless and a lot of parts from the show do stick close to their comic book roots. I certainly enjoy it! :D I highly recommend Batman fans check it out if just for a good time! You won't be disappointed!

I'm finishing up Superman Animated again for the umpteenth time, then going back to Batman, so maybe I'll check it out. I like waiting for whole seasons, so if I do get into it, I'll probably just download the first season.
