We've been talking about this for over a year or so and now it seems our prayers are being answered!

From ToyFare #156: Heads up, game boys and virtual girls. The only thing better than toys and video games are toys based on video games, and ToyFare #156 is packed with all three! Get ready for the sequel to the best comic book video game of all time as we go inside DC Direct’s red-hot new toy line based on Batman: Askham Asylum. New figures will make their world debut and Arkham Asylum Batman will appear on one of our covers.

And if that isn't enough to get all you DC-ers excited:

I was just thinking to myself the other day how much I would like an Arkham Asylum Harley Quinn figure!

I might just buy the whole set together. I want all the figures. (even Harley, even if that costume isn't my favourite)

2011 can't come soon enough.

And this is just Series 1. I'd imagine the likes of Poison Ivy, Bane and Killer Croc will probably show up somewhere down the line in Series 2 or 3, depending on how far DC Direct wants to drag the line out.

In any case, all of these will be finding their way into my collection, they're just all so bad ass and truly do their video game counterparts some serious justice. As Split Lip said above, 2011 can't come fast enough! :D

Even though I never liked Harley Quinn I'll be getting a set. These are just too good to pass.

In most cases with DCD I'd be curious about the lines articulation, but these just look so good I think myself and a lot of DC-ers will probably let that slide when the figures look as good as this. :p

I've already pre-ordered both series.

At first I was hesitent with the lack of articulation, but I was quickly reminded I wouldn't be poses or even really touching these things that much at all. I'm still not sure if I'll even open them. (probably Joker, Harley and at least one Bats) Plus, I freaking adore the game, so how could I not?
