It's been an uneventful year for us Star Wars collectors as a whole, and with the 30th Anniversary of TESB and really no toys aimed at that momentus event, it's been even more disappointing...

Until now.....

Feast your eyes on the first pictures of the soon to be released Vintage Collection, focusing on sculpts, paint apps and packaging meant to take fans back to the classic Star Wars days of their youth!!! :D

Enjoy some loose pictures of the 11 Wave 1 pieces! :D

Small reviews of each piece in the line:

Dengar: Last Bounty Hunter to recieve the super-articulated treatment. Comes with trademark rifle and backpack as well as a working holster and removeable codpiece.

Leia (Hoth Outfit): A figure considered long overdue since it was first introduced in 2000's POTJ collection. Her articulation is on par and the blaster is slightly big for her hands, but it just works.

Han Solo (Echo Base Outfit): First time this outfit has ever been made on a Han Solo figure, there is a good chance we'll see an inevitable blue repaint sometime down the road.

Luke Skywalker (Bespin Fatigues): Pictures don't do it justice. Hasbro went back to the drawing board to improve on the version released in 2007 and gave us a well articulated figure with an awesome face sculpt and the addition of the ball-hinged hips really allow for some dynamic poses that every Jedi needs!

AT-AT Commander: Although based off Captain Needa, this genaric figure features removeable armor and a new rank cylinder.

C-3P0: Considered an odd choice since we never saw Threepio's inner working in TESB. It is also a bit too small.

Dak Ralter: New head sculpt on same pilot body, but the perfect addition to the soon to be released new Snowspeeder!

Darth Vader: Originally planned for release in 2008, Hasbro never liked how the helmet turned out, but kept the concept alive with this figure. Head is removeable and is made in the Sebastian Shaw likeness!

Boba Fett: Newly updated (the 4th to be exact) version of the Evolutions Boba Fett. Features finer deco details and recolored weapons.

4-LOM: Straight repack of the Greatest Hits version from 2007.

Cloud Car Pilot: Super-articulated figure includes a blaster and a removable helmet, but no comlink. Perfect for the soon be released new Cloud Car!

I'll likely get the Cloud Car Pilot but will pass on the others.

He can hang out with Ice Cream Maker Guy on Cloud City.:D

The new Dengar will be a nice addition to my collection, the only Dengar I have is the one from the Fenn Shysa comic pack from 2008.

Also want 4-LOM, missed the 2007 Greatest Hits Edition.

Fett is a no-brainer, I have an extensive Fett collection and this one, although a slight retool of the Evolutions pack from 2007, will be a welcome addition to that part of my collection. :D

I'll be passing on the rest, with the AT-AT Commander a Maybe.

Can't wait to get those... Im looking to get a couple of figs from this wave. Most TRU in the states are already putting them on shelves (Hasbro emailed distributors and told em to put them a sale now, so august 6th is no more the street date... just like what happened to the iron man figures a couple of months ago).

Someone over the snowtroopers forum told he saw the boxes for the VTC and saga collection , but he couldn't buy those yet (didnt give more info about this)

Anyone saw those TVC yet?

Not a problem, I do what I can. I'll be posting more pictures and info as it's released. ;)

And to answer your question klown, I haven't seen these in my area yet and I've been to almost 8 different stores in the last two weeks searching for them. However, I did just hear a day or two ago that the Toys R Us Exclusive Kol Teska has been sighted in the Georgetown area, so I am assuming the Legacy Collection pieces have started appearing in the last few days. So, I'd assume, hopefully, that these new Vintage Collection pieces will start showing up probably sooner than later. ;)

More info as it's released. ;)

You can get old Ben if you buy the Resurgence battlepack... but the monkey eyes Emperor (if that's the one you're referring to) you'd have to get off eBay as that never came to Canada.

I am really looking forward to this new Star Wars line, most of the figures are looking really sweet. Bespin Luke looks great to me, even if it does look like he is wearing a diaper. Dengar is a must have for me as well. Even though the US are finding these at TRU already, I doubt Canada will see these until atleast August. It would be great if someone found them earlier though.

Bought all of the new Vintage figures from the Wal-Mart at Queen and Airport Rd. in Brampton. There were three to four cases out, all on mint cards for those who are so inclined.

Also on shelf were the Malevolence DVD 2-packs, each with an episode of the Malevolence Trilogy. The packs contain Anakin & Matchstick, Obi-Wan & Greivous (old sculpt), and Ahsoka and Plo Koon. As I already have all of these episodes and figures, these made for an easy pass. I neglected to check the price.

Let's all give thanks to Wal-Mart for its utter disregard for vendor embargo dates!

He is a repack of the figure included with last year's US Exclusive Dewback Patrol. Well articulated, the figure includes a removable SD-48 Survival Pack, Removable Pauldron (white - sergeant rank), RT-97C Heavy Blaster Rifle and a T-21 light repeating blaster. This is pretty much the ultimate version of the Sandtrooper, only down side is he's way too clean to be stationed on Tatoonie if you ask me. :D

Today was kind of dissapointing really. Went to TRU to get two for the price of one and 1$, what should I discover but... Very LIMITED selection.

Talk about a let down.

This vintage stuff is neat and all, but I'm kind of being way selective with my purchases and after seeing Echo Base Han... There is just something terribly off about his legs. At first I couldn't place my finger on just what that was, but after picking up AT-AT Commander I know exactly what Han's problem is.

His legs are too thin. They look like they should be on a Female character, I mean seriously who decided that looked good for a Vintage figure like Echo Base Han? RoC Cobra Ice Viper has thicker legs than that for someone who's supposed to be wearing thick winter pants. Yeah I know he wasn't exactly wearing thick pants in the film, but still Han's legs should at least have a thicker circumference than what is being offered with that Vintage version.

Strike him from my must get list. At least Leia looks ok - even with the odd oversized ball joint for a neck. :D I really wanted Vader and Luke though to replace my old 2002 Bespin Luke and 2003 Death Star Clash Vader. *Le Sigh* Plus, no sign of Boba Fett either.

Enjoy!

Also, on a bit of a side note, it appears a new rumor is circulating through the action figure world that Hasbro is planning yet another Darth Vader for the Vintage Collection, this one supposidly being based off the apperation Vader with Luke's face from TESB.

Again, just a rumor right now, but figured a heads-up was worth mentioning regardless. :D

Yet another photo update today, this one of the up-and-coming Revenge of the Sith Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader).

New head sculpt and better articulation, this is considered to be the definative version of pre-Darth Vader Anakin Skywalker with no cons to speak of.

Accessories include: Removable jedi cloak, lightsaber hit and lightsaber.

Thanks to Rebel Scum, we have some more pictures of the soon to be released Star Wars Vintage Collection: Wave 2!

This new wave consists mostly of characters from ROTS, but includes a single Sandtrooper from the cancelled ANH line...

Enjoy!

VC12: Darth Sidious: A brand new figure based off his duel with Yoda in the Senate. The figure is super articulated and features amazing facial detail. Includes a soft-goods cloak and snap-on Force Lightening bolt, which doesn't stay on all that well.

VC13: Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader): Features new arms and head sculpt. Basically a refresher figure updated from 2008.

VC14: Sandtrooper (Sargent): Re-release from last year's Dewback Patrol set, that was only released in the USA. Super articulated and loaded with weapons.

VC15: Clone Trooper: Updated version with super articulation that is set to be the standard for all future Clone Troopers to be released.

VC16: Obi-Wan Kenobi: A repackaged Greatest Hits figure we've seen many times over, but if you don't have him, get him, he is loaded with accessories and is one of the best examples of prequel Kenobi available.

VC17: General Grievous: Another refreshed figure. Hasbro added wrist articulation and a new deco. Otherwise, this is essentially the same figure from The Legacy Collection, just with an added accessory - a dual-sided cape with pockets on the inside where additional lightsabers can be stored.

VC18: MagnaGuard: Another new figure with no action gimmicks. Multiple points of articulation allow for some dynamic poses and the addition of a soft goods cape is a nice touch. Not to mention the cool Electrostaff accessory, which includes a neat energy effect on each end that is removable.

VC19: Commander Cody: A refresh of the 2006 version from the Saga Collection. Updated belt and paint job, but the jetpack is still a pain.

Final Thoughts: Another awesome line Hasbro, wish the ANH line was still a go, but maybe at some point down the road....

A repackaged "500th Darth Vader" is being released as a varient in the 2010 Saga Legends line, despite Hasbro's supposed insistence that running changes are too hard to manage.

So varient collectors, and those who loved the "500th Darth Vader" sculpt, myself included, rejoice. :D

Prowl_2009
10-04-2010, 03:28 PM
As with Darth Vader, looks like a running change is also happening with SL Jango Fett. What was supposed to be a retooled SC version from 2002 has been changed to a retooled TAC version from 2007. As the 30th Anniversary figure was vastily superior to it's ATOC counterpart from back in the day, this is a wise decision on the part of Hasbro! :D

New photo updates for Wave 5 have shown up and our friends at Yakface.com were kind enough to pass on a few shots of the first figure in the wave, Han Solo (Yavin Ceremony)...

By way of Pros, the site mentions it is a very nice version of Han Solo's appearance in A New Hope, but they also mention the shirt sculpt is incorrect and the holster thigh strap present on the superior VOTC Han Solo from 2004 is still missing. Enjoy the pictures and thanks to Yakface for the shots. More pictoral updates as I get them!

Next up in our Vintage Collection series of updates is the next figure in the fifth wave of the series, R5-D4. The guys at Yakface, who were kind enough to pass these shots on, say the little Astromech looks great on the new vintage style card and that the 'dirty' paintjob works really well with this figure. However, as no toy can be perfect, the site mentions Hasbro is still missing the orange panels on the rear of this figure that Kenner noticed on the '78 version.

Enjoy!

Today's TVC Wave 5 update is Luke Skywalker (Death Star Escape). Yakface mentions the toy is a nice update and has a pretty good likeness to Mark Hamill and has a nice amount of accessories. They also love the addition of the soft goods. But, on the negative, if they can even be considered negative, the comlink is very small and he has no headset, something that would've also rendered the POTF2 Gunner Station Luke Skywalker out-of-date as well.

Enjoy the shots and thanks again to Yakface.com!

Tonight, our pictoral update of Wave 5 of the Star Wars Vintage Collection continues with the 212th Attack Battalion Clone Trooper.

On the plus side, the figure utilizes the enhanced articulation body most recently seen with the VC15 Clone Trooper. The figure also finally includes the evolution molds for both weapons. Corrected belt orientation looks to have carried over from the VC15 Clone Trooper as well. On the negative side however, the helmet displays signs of discoloration (yellowing) and lacks the weathering effect that worked on the TSC version so well. On top of that, the orange color flashes do not match the most recent release of Commander Cody.

Enjoy the accompanying shots from our friends at Yakface.com! ;)

More pictoral updates from Wave 5 of the Vintage Collection today! The TVC Stormtrooper features newly added articulation in the form of ball-jointed hips and includes a bonus DLT-19 heavy blaster! However, the helmet seems oversized and thus, loose and the card is incorrect, depicting the figure as a TESB release, when in reality, it was originally released on a Star Wars card in 1978.

Well, it seems at least one figure in Wave 5 of the Vintage Collection is seen as flawless, the re-release of the ROTS Commander Gree. It's a slight repaint of the same figure released in 2008, a sculpt seen as way ahead of its time when it was originally released. By way of flaws, seems as though there really are none! :D

Today's Vintage Collection pictoral update starts on the highly anticipated Attack of the Clones line. Our first in a series of updates, with some nice shots supplied by our friends over at Yakface.com, is bounty hunter Zem Wesell!

On the plus side, she is said to be the best rendition of the character to date, with lots of really nice detail. Plus, since she is a changling, the interchangable head is a very nice touch.

However, on the negative side, it seems the 2002 changling head looked more like the one on screen than the one offered with this version, her hair is the wrong color and she should've come with a detachable arm. Not deal breakers, I think the figure looks great!

Enjoy the accompanying shots from Yakface.com!

Next in the highly anticipated Attack of the Clones wave from the Vintage Collection is this awesome figure of Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi.

On the plus side, Hasbro took their awesome 2008/2009 Obi-Wan sculpt, slightly changed the deco and gave him a soft goods robe.

On the negative however, this is still another Obi-Wan without the extra light saber hilt to clip onto his belt. Again, in my opinion, this figure looks absolutely amazing!

Today's Vintage Collection Attack of the Clones line update comes in the form of Anakin Skywalker (Peasent). It is said to be the ultimate version of this figure, with excellent tailoring and fabric for the poncho.

Our next Vintage Collection pictoral update for the soon-to-be-released Attack of the Clones line comes in the form of Padmé Amidala (Peasant Disguise). She features an excellent sculpt and ornate paint apps. The interchangeable headdresses are a nice touch as is the removable soft goods.

On the negative side, however, the outfit seems to be a slightly different color. Other than that, this one seems like a win for Padme fans looking to cross another of her outfits off their most wanted list.

Time for another pictoral update! This one coming straight to us from Wave 6 of the Vintage Collection - Luke Skywalker (Dagobah Landing)...

On the plus side, it is a nice rework of last year's Snowspeeder Luke Skywalker and is said to have one of the best head sculpts ever in terms of Mark Hamill's likeness. The darker fightsuit helps to convey the "wet look" without additional weathering deco and the incorporation of the holster (with leg strap) is really well executed.

On the negative side however, the retooled gloveless forearms make Luke's arms appear slightly longer than they should be and, considering this figure is based off the scene where Luke crashes into the Degobah swamp, it should be a slightly dirtier figure, especially in terms of the helmet.

Thanks to Yakface.com for the attatched photos! Enjoy!

Our second TVC Wave 6 pictoral update today comes in the form of Clone Trooper (Phase I), a piece I am very excited to obtain!

On the plus side, this is a totally new Clone Trooper! He comes loaded with articulation, including ball-jointed wrists and hips, and the facial expression and paint apps on the new weapon molds are superb!

On the negative however, this Clone is said to stick out like a sore thumb when compared to previous incarnations, but don't let that stop you from picking up this really accurate and amazing new piece!

Our third TVC Wave 6 pictoral update today comes in the form of the AT-RT Driver from Revenge of the Sith...

Pros: Completely retooled with new and better articulation, new paint apps and accessories and a new and better head sculpt. Also, even though this is a complete retool, it doesn't make the original ROTS version from 6 years ago seem all that out-of-date.

Cons: Shoulder pad armor is slightly restrictive for certain poses.

Our final TVC Wave 6 pictoral update comes in the form of an original trilogy character many fan's have been dying for - General Lando Calrissian from Return of the Jedi!

By way of Pros: This piece is a great update over the OTC version from a few years back! He's got a great sculpt overall and makes good use of the soft goods.

By way of Cons: The cape strape is a bit of an eye sore, and the ball-joint hip articulation seems a bit of overkill and distracts from the figures overall esthetic, but as with the Phase I Clone Trooper, don't let these things stop you from picking this one up for your Star Wars collection!

It's a figure fan's have wanted for a long time and Hasbro has done right. He has a great outfit sculpt and features a light paint wash that really makes the uniform details stand out.

However, he does seem to have odd shoulder joints, which make this figure appear poofy in some poses. It also seems as though some minor details, like the transission from neck to uniform color, were purposely left out.

Your call on this one guys.

Our final TVC Wave 6 update comes to us in the form of Jedi Knight Fi-Ek Sirch, who, when his original figure was released in 2002's Star Wars line, didn't even have a name!

On the plus side, Hasbro certainly went all-out addressing the problems with the rather statue-esque Nikto figure from 2002. He's a completely new sculpt loaded with articulation (expect ball-jointed hips) and features the coolest soft-goods robe ever made by Hasbro, due to the choice of fabric used on this one.

There literally is nothing bad about Fi-Ek Sirch, you seriously need to pick this one up, something I am certainly planning to do!

Jumping back to the highly anticipated TVC Wave 4, the Attack of the Clones wave, we have another pictoral update thanks to our friends over at Yakface.com!

This newly updated Senate Guard features the best soft goods cloak ever. It's as if it was sampled right from the costume used in the film! With its improved articulation, sculpt and deco, this six year old figure is given new life in many positive ways!

By way of cons, the figures robes are slightly longer than needed, but a nice pose should fix that no problem! Seriously, there is nothing wrong with this one! If you see it...Get it!

What was Attack of the Clones without the newly introduced Super Battle Droids? Hasbro realizes their importance by giving fans a new version in Wave 4 of The Vintage Collection...

This particular version features swirled plastic, which gives a nice metallic appearance and a paint scheme that is Geonosis spacific. The addition of the blaster pistol is cool too!

However, this version is not without its flaws. It lacks the ankle articulation present on the recently released Geonosis Arena sculpt and the sholder joints are still very difficult to move when posing laterally.

Thanks to Yakface.com for the attatched shots!

Jedi Defender past on some nice shots of the highly anticipated TVC Wave 7 Rebel Fleet Trooper today and I've got to say this guy looks awesome!

The sculpt certainly isn't as bulky as the POTF2 version and not as boring as the Saga Collection version from 2002. This is a great update!

Basic Figures - Wave 9

. Bastila Shan
. Darth Maul
. Echo Base Trooper
. Jar Jar Binks
. Ponda Baba
. R2-A5

It's rumor time! Thanks to the Rebel Spies over at Rebel Scum, we have a small list of rumored Vintage Collection figure packs being released later this year! According to the site, the rumored sets include:

-Video Game 5 Figure Pack

- Trench Run Scene Pack

The Video Game Figure 5-pack seems to be one of two things, either a Force Unleashed II or Old Republic figure set, games Hasbro does indeed have figure plans for!

The Trench Run set indeed focuses on the Death Star attack from ANH and is said to contain 2 retooled iconic vehicles, as well as their respective pilots.

More on this exciting story as it develops and thanks to Rebel Scum for passing this our way! Remember, until Hasbro tells us otherwise, take these with a grain of salt!

We have a new pictoral update today, which comes to us in the form of TVC Wave 4 Jango Fett, the one piece I am most excited about in this wave of figures!

The figure features new forearms a new jetpack and bladed gaunlets from his battle with Obi-Wan on Kamino!

Other than the gaunlet blades not being removeable and the jumpsuit still slightly off color wise, there really is nothing in the way of flaws. This figure really is that good and it's highly recommended to all Star Wars fans! Grab it when you see it, no questions asked!

Thanks to Yakface.com for the attached photos! ;)

Our friends over at Jedi Defender were kind enough to pass on packaged images of the up-coming wave of Saga Legends figures today, which are due out very soon.

Feast your eyes on:

. R2-D2
. Darth Vader
. Yoda
. Boba Fett
. Super Battle Droid
. Destroyer Droid
. Death Star Trooper
. Stormtrooper
. Spacetrooper

Of interest is that it seems Hasbro got the Spacetrooper right as early shots of the figure showed the Phase III Darktrooper as the one fans would be getting. Also it seems that the Secret Weapons packs have been discontinued, or at least the ads for them on the packaging have ceased. Enjoy the attached shots and thanks to Jedi Defender for passing them on!

Got some new prototype shots today from our buddies over at Sandtroopers.com of what appear to be a new Vintage style Taun-Taun and K-Mart Exclusive B-Wing!

As a side note regarding the Taun-Taun, it appears to have added articulation to the ankles and arms, a fully removable saddle, and it seems the left horn (broken, indicating Luke's mount) is a separate piece so they can do other Taun-Tauns using the same base sculpt.

Our friends over at Yakface.com were kind enough to pass on some shots of the up-coming TVC 2011 Wave 3 Wedge Antilles figure, one fans have been asking forever to receive.

On the plus side, he looks spot on to his movie counterpart and it's nice to finally have a single carded Wedge figure that is not an exclusive, but a mass retail release.

On the negative side, the helmet does stick pretty tightly onto the figure's head, so be careful as the head may very well pop off during play. Also, due to poor distribution, many are worried this figure may prove to be very difficult to track down.

In any case, he looks like a winner to me! Thanks to Yakface.com for passing these our way and enjoy the attached shots!

Some big news developed over the weekend, that of TVC Wave 8, the Revenge of the Jedi line, being delayed until October. Entertainment Earth has changed the arrival date on their site and Rebelscum.com is suspecting:

This is the "Revenge of the Jedi" wave of variant figures that you will be able to pick up in one big Death Star-sized set during San Diego Comic-Con, so perhaps Hasbro has delayed the case assortments so there are no conflicts?

Although it is a line of various chase figures, repacks, and carry-forwards, there is very little shipping from Hasbro in the Star Wars department until October now.

We have a new pictoral update today, in the form of TVC Wave 3 (2011) Rebel Commando!

On the plus side, this is the best version of a Rebel Commando we've gotten to date! He's well accessorized and articulated making it another “must-have” figure from the Vintage line. He's accessories are easily removeable and Yakface.com even goes so far as to say multiples should be bought for Troop Building!

On the negative side, the neck is slightly at an odd angle, causing the figure to appear he's looking in a downward direction.

Got some nice, new shots of the soon-to-be-released Vintage Collection Landspeeder from Yakface.com this afternoon. It features a beautifully weather-worn deco and includes Luke's rifle from ANH, that clips onto the side of the vehicle.

Got to love that vintage style packaging too!

Thanks for passing this on, Yakface.com! ;)

Hasbro has just announced their next Fan's Choice Poll

From Hasbro:

Hasbro is pleased to once again invite you to help determine its next STAR WARS Fans’ Choice figure!

We will be polling our readers to again compile a top 10 list for submission on Wednesday, Sept 28, 2011. All polling result lists will be combined together (each outlet getting an equal voice) with the #1 character on each list worth 10 points, the #2 character worth 9 points, the #3 worth 8 points, etc. The resultant point values will be used to generate the final ballot of 20 choices, which will be announced in October by STAR WARS Insider.

Fans will then be able to vote on STAR WARS Insider’s site for their favorite character out of the Top 20, and the character with the most votes as of November 31 will be the new STAR WARS Fans’ Choice figure! The winning character will be announced at Hasbro’s 2012 Collector-Fan Media Day event at Toy Fair in New York in February 2012.

Please note: any characters selected from the current STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS animated series would be done in a realistic style.

So, who do you want? Talon Karrde? Canderous Ordo? Derrick LaRone? Cast your vote today! More news at it develops! Thanks to Yakface.com for passing this news our way!

An eBay auction surfaced today for a loose TVC Fan's Choice Bastila Shan, which has made its appearance known overseas and should be hitting retail in Canada and the USA in the coming months. So, today we have a nice looking loose shot of the figure thanks to our friends over at Jedi Defender!

Also, Hasbro has released details and the redemption form for this year's mail away figure: TVC Prototype Armor Boba Fett, on their site. 5-UPC codes are needed from Star Wars action figures, as well as a MO or cheque for $6.99 US or $8.99 CDN and all forms must be received by Mar. 31st, 2012.

So, start saving today! Get your redemption form and further details here:

I think Talon Karrde already has a figure and they would be too tempted to make Larone out of a generic Stromtrooper.

Canderous would be very awesome, but my first choices would still be Gilad Pellaeon and Kyp Durron. :)

Too bad the voting isn't compeletly wide open, but by website. It doesn't seem like we'll get a say.

Hey everyone! Seems Hasbro has updated exactly which UPC's are going to be accepted for the Prototype Armor Boba Fett mail away figure.

Said Hasbro: Collect and save the UPC codes of any 5 figures from these Star Wars action figure collections: Vintage (97568 Asst.), Saga Legends (21115 Asst.) or The Clone Wars (94736 Asst.)

So, at least we now know which UPC's we're allowed to use towards this awesome mail away piece!

You can see the update here on Hasbro's site and print out the redemption form, if you haven't already done so...

Just a small note to fans of the Saga Legends line of Star Wars figures: In Star Wars Action News' latest Q&A, which took place this week, with Hasbro, they were told that the Saga Legends line will cease production in 2011 and be replaced by a new subline called Movie Heroes in 2012.

You can read the news on Yakface.com's main page!

They just started getting some EU figures in the Saga Legends line, I hope the name change isn't more than that.

Once again, Hasbro has modified the requirment to get your hands on this years exclusive Prototype Armor Boba Fett Mail Away figure.

Says an article on Yakface.com: After making a revision to the accepted UPC requirements last week, Hasbro is now only accepting the actual packed-in mailaway redemption form for the Mailaway Prototype Fett as evidenced by the nifty new watermark the form now bears on Hasbro.com.

You can read the full article here:

In the words of Lando Calrisian: This Deal is Getting Worse all the time! Come on, Hasbro, make up your minds!

..I SENT IN THE UPC'S AND PHOTO FORM prior to the SAMPLE being splashed over the form...phoned HASBUTT....they will accept my order ,but going forward they will ONLY ACCEPT actual form from in pack....past promo's have gone thru with photocopies of the form...they have tightened up the promo...why???...to sell product!!

HAPPY HAPPY..

I've constantly steered clear of these promotions due to this. I went out and bought a bunch of figures a couple years back, all at regular price at TRU, got home only to learn that I wasn't eligible for the mail away because I couple of the figures I bought were the "wrong assortment".

Fortunatly I didn't buy them specifically for the mail away, but still.

I took my ball and went home then.:o

..I on the other hand love the mail in promo's...might not be to limited like the good ol days ,but item's are always UNIQUE and most times they never show up in stores...FAVORITE...INDY ARK...WOW!!

Check out Yakface.com (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2011/10/09/toyguide-update-vc61-boba-fett-prototype-armor/)'s pictoral Toy Guide update of this year's exclusive mail away figure - VC61 - Boba Fett (Prototype Armor), this figure is sweet, both on and off the card, but hopefully Hasbro will take a break from mail away Fett's for a bit and give us new characters in the future.
