Phantom Menace re realeased @ Wal Mart!

I just went to Wal Mart Meadowville and it looks like Hasbro has re realeased Phantom Menace figures from 1998, with a new contest. Same cards and figures, they even come with the comm chip. The figures scan at 9.92 each, they come up as the vintage line. Very Strange!!!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure these are not legit in any way shape or form. This is probably thievery pure and simple. Someone probably bought some vintage collection figures, removed the UPC stickers that Wal Mart so foolishly stuck on the back of the card over the actual UPC sticker and stuck it to an episode 1 card and returned those figures to the store for a full refund.

I can't believe how dumb some walmart employees are... but i guess they never fully see the stock they have

Pretty much exactly what I was thinking. :rolleyes: I am sure if Hasbro were planning on re-releasing TPM toys, we'd have heard something about it by now from Hasbro or Rebelscum.com or something.

I looked at these ones again today, and the do have bar code stickers from the new Vintage collection on them. 5 of them have sold, 3 left!!! Get em while you can!!!

Its still wrong of course but I don't even remember seeing the Hologram Plo Koon on the shelves here.:p

I would have to speculate that these are legit, as a Walmart in BC, which I stumbled upon had a bunch of Episode 3 figures, it looked to be a complete wave from the final wave of Episode 3 figures. The packages were near mint and there were no obvious openings on them.

The figures included Vaders's medical droid, Zett Jucas, some of the alien senators (Mas Ameda, the ree yees guy. Pardon my spelling or the names of the figures. There's roughly 9 figures.
