The Canadian dollar is higher than the US dollar right now ( by one cent, lol) and has been in par for a while now, Before the price hikes our MU figures at Zellers are $12.99 or 9.99 at walmart, $18.99 for the 2 packs.
Transformers are:
legends-6.99
scouts 9.99 -12.99
deluxes 15.99-19.99
voyagers 29.99
ultras 35.99
leader - 59.99- 69.99
MP transformers are 69- 79.
That ugly ass Devastator was $99.99 - $125.99 what a rip off.

I don't want to pay 14.99 for a MU single figure or 22.99 for a 2 pack...i don't want to pay 2 bucks more for my transformers either.

I sure hope they don't raise the prices here as well. MU stuff is already expensive at Zellers as it is.

Zellers is almost as bad as the bay, I can't believe how much we pay for this shit. Our dollar is higher than the US now and we still pay over 5 bucks more for TFs...I know they have to ship the stuff here but they have to ship all over the US too and they don't charge 16 for a deluxe in a store on the opposite side of the US now do they. "Just sit there and take it Canada... and like it" is how it is , eh. Lets just hope that we do not see that price hike.

Like our great Wendy's value meal...$1.89 to the US's 99cent value meal.

I'm curious what do you propose we do exactly?

It's the over price and availability that's hurting toy lines. I can't see how a 3.75" toy be close to 10bucks. I think the sale prices from $7-9 is a more reasonable price point.

I agree. $10 or more for MU stuff that includes little to no accessories is a bit much.

I understand how MU can be $10 becasue of licensing and all that but they shouldnt be any higher than that, especially when their 6" figures are only $12-$13.

A brand they own such as GI Joe shouldnt ever reach $10, the $8 price point for those is perfect.

I'm already being way more... choosy in which toy lines I collect and which of those figures I will buy. The days of being a completionist or a 1 for MOC, 1 to open collector are well behind me. I've sold most of my MOC collection over the past year, save a few I really like. The lastest MU waves I've only bought one or two figures, or skipped the wave entirely.

I wonder how this will affect the comic/specialty shop's prices? The ones around here charge from $11-15 a figure, with $13 being the usual norm.
