Unfortunately Hasbro is not doing a comic series for the Thor Movie line so if you want a Classic Thor you'll need to buy the Marvel Universe Secret Wars 2-pack version.

Fortunately, for those who want a classic Thor, the Secret Wars 2-pack containing the figure seems pretty easy to find at Walmart and Zellers.

For those who've picked up the figures, has anyone tried putting the cape on the short-sleeved Thor? I was wondering if it looked any good, since it seems like you can sort of make a movie-style classic outfit with that version.

Hey Hantei,

I picked them up, the cape has two shoulder-holes to attach to Thor, the short-sleeved version does not have any holes in his back so you would have to attach it somehow to his shoulders to get the look you are describing.

IMHO, both figures look better without the cape.

Brampton walmart had tons except only one Loki left

Thanks for the reply! Hmm, how are they? I was thinking of waiting till a sale before picking up any. Maybe I'll up both and experiment with some glue.

I quite like them. Going to put them up with the Marvel Universe stuff and the Iron Man line and see what I think when side by side, but as for the figures on their own, I like them.

Paint apps are decent on mine, but I got fresh from the case, the accessories are standard (My daughter gets all the gimmicky accessories), articulation is good and the likenesses are pretty decent for a figure with a painted face.

I'm thinking of getting another of the short-sleeved Thors to cut off the red ribbon around his waist, it doesn't really get in the way but I want to clean it up a bit and se what he looks like.

I may try and post some pics tomorrow if you like.

Sure, some pics would be great! Haven't actually seen any Thors around here, but I did see the deluxe stuff today. Heh, the yellow Thor looks awful, might pick up the Frost Giant, probably gonna wait to see the movie before committing to the figures.

Has anyone spotted the Thor roleplay hammer? more specifically the one made from NERF type foam.

So far none of the Thor figures come with a helmet. Seems like Thor won't be wearing his helmet much in the movie.

There is one in a later wave. A helmeted Loki too.

Frost Giant looks interesting.
