OK so I've been collecting for over 20 years now and have amassed quite a few figures and playsets. Much like everyone else I incorporate them into my dioramas quite a bit, I feel I've reached a point where I consider them artwork now and feel comfortable to enough to call them that.

So every so often I will show some of my works off here; they may be new they may be old but no matter what I had fun building them.

I will also show some of my action sequences as well from time to time.

Over the next few days I'm going to walk you through my largest and most intricate of dioramas.
Project 42
It is my representation of the prison from Marvel's Civil War.
I utilized a lot of different parts from all over to build this including Bratz mall stores, Jurassic park capture gear and Rescue Heroes toys to mention a few.
In the next week or so I will be putting in new bars on the whole structure but for now I can show you the basics.

I've also looked at some of the other peoples stuff in there but they really seem
to take themselves a little too seriously.

I've also painted a lot of the other parts, got rid of the shelves and painted the wall black, for now, until I figure out what to do for the huge rock backdrop.
I've thought about a few ideas and even looked at stuff like Exo Terra Reptile backdrops.
But ultimately I think I'll go with the old crumpled paper and chicken wire trick. Seems to work quite well when properly done.

I don't think I'll ever tire of it but my direction is about to change in a couple of months.
The superhero room is full now.
It's time to move on to the Sci/Fi Fantasy room.
Star Wars, Lotr, Alien/Predator, Star Trek and Jurassic Park.
That room is bigger than the Superhero one and since I saw E1 3D last week I've got the itch bad.
I currently own about 6000 Star Wars figures, I'll put up some pictures of my Clone Army and Vader's Inauguration.
I have just as many Trade Federation droids as well.
I just have to tie up so many loose ends.

This is a test I did this morning, it is flawed, now I see what I must do now to get this done.
When finished the Batcave wall will be roughly 10' x 3'
It will be semi permanent and made out brown shipping paper, I came across a roll that someone was throwing out.

I absolutely love the details you put into your dioramas.. I mean look at the rubble and the broken down cars and the scorch marks from fires! My favorite piece by far is the turned over ninja turtles van haha.

Just messin' around.
I'm about half done the JLA Watchtower diorama now and thought it would be cool to try some test shots with some aliens figures.
To finish the observation deck of the Watchtower I still have to put in the following; a sub-floor to even out the shelves, a real floor, pictures for the observation deck windows, Christmas lights behind the walls so the vents light up, light grey highlights, wall fodder and a glass paper weight globe that I see everybody else using these days.
I came really close to finishing painting all the main parts today but forgot 2 pieces in the basement. If you look behind the Colonial Marines you'll see 2 wall panels that are still white.

very cool customs! what did you use to make this?

The main base is a Bratz mall store front turned around backwards with the back torn off, DC Direct Justice stands and a few mirrors I got from a retail display unit in a dumpster.
Add a little paint and hotglue.
You're ready to go.

As you guys can tell things have been a little hard on the citizens of Marvel Street lately.
The DC end of town too hasn't been fairing too well either.

So I figure it is time to give the people some rest and make some renovations to the street and some of the buildings etc.
I'm thinking...bigger, more detail, more realism. I'm psyched about this, now to get to work before I lose momentum. Only so many hours in the day though.

Thank you very much for the compliment.
Someone asking me to make something for them is one of the greatest compliments of all.
However, everything you see are works of love, once I build something it basically becomes like my baby or most valuable item in the world to me.
So, I'm really sorry but, I don't do commissions and I don't sell my stuff.
Another reason I don't sell stuff is because there is no way to tell how many hours I've put in. The Batcave has over a hundred hours in it in the past 3 years. do i don't think anyone would pay what i want for a piece.

Yes I think that most of the Isildur's I saw, when they were released, had a messed up eye.
I think I busted my butt to find one that looked as good as I thought it did.
But, the more i look at it now the more I realize that it was just a bad paint job or bad sculpting on all of them.

This is an important announcement from me, J. Jonah Jameson. Who else would have the power to break into your regularly scheduled programming like this. Well, maybe Stan Lee, but he's probably having a nap right about now. So here is an update about the Marvel Street Theater as it goes into phase two of construction. Ground floor lighting has been installed, entrance floor pattern has been picked out and all the walls have been finished. What you see here is a little better outline of what it's going to look like, I probably can't get back to it again until next week, though. I have to pick up some materials to finish the outside of the building.

Decided to go with the ticket window instead of the doors for the center piece.

Started working on Marvel Street again, just finished the sidewalk expansion.
All the sidewalk squares at the back are custom built by me out of foamboard, most of the ones at the front are from DC Direct, except the for the ones with the grates in them for the trees to grow out of, I made those to.
Things are still a little crooked, this is because I haven't taped any of them down yet, and every time I move one it throws the rest out of place.

Still making progress with this piece.
I've installed the lights, touched up the paint except for the blue overspray on the back wall of the interior, I'm just going to cover that with signs anyways.
I've half assed finished the roof, actually had to put a ceiling and a roof in to accommodate the lights.
Still so much to do, though.
I'm starting to look at ads on the internet to print out now, that may take awhile because our printer is not working.
All in all I think it is coming along well.

The building facade below is what will go above and behind the Convenience Store front. I still have one more floor to build then the trim has to be painted. Everything is really crooked right now because nothing is glued down yet.
I just couldn't wait to see the test shots.
I also built a screen door, there will be two balconies and a screen door for each.
The bottom floor will have a door in the middle that opens onto the roof of Frosty's Convenience.
Once this is done I still have one more piece to add, a doorway with a hall attached to it on the side of Frosty's. Apparently the top of the building is much wider than I predicted.
So instead of scraping the project I decided to work around it. The doorway will be the back entrance to the apartment building above.
Not sure how tall this will be when it is done, well over 4' I guess.
