DC Total Heroes Wave 1 Released in Canada

1 Attachment(s)
Thanks to an initial sighting made by AFN member Tonestar, we now know that the first wave of DC Total Heroes has been released in Canada. Wave one of the 6" line consists of Aquaman, Batman, Flash, and Superman.

The figures have been found at Target in Alberta and Ontario where they retail for $14.99 each.

To see what's been found in your area head on over to our Canadian Action Figure Sightings Forum.

These are in BC as well.

I was happy to find these... but not happy w/ the 14.99 price. Apparently these are 9.99 at US TRU, so I assume they'd be 9.99 or cheaper at US Targets. Not sure how Target Canada came up w/ a 14.99 price for these.

I have seen them here in Montreal also. They have very limited articulation.

Doesn't look too bad in the pic of Flash. I count at least 15 points of articulation for the figure. Not the best, but not the stupid 5 POAs we are seeing in smaller figures.

These figures have more than 5 POAs for sure but when you take a look at how Hasbro is handling the Marvel stuff and compare to what we are getting from Mattel, I really don't want to give them any money for these boring figures. Sure a few figures look decent but ultimately these figures look cheap and is not what I as a collector want.

I agree 100% , I believe these are more geared towards kids. They don't look like anything meant for collectors.

I agree. I think we forget that they aren't going to gear every line to collectors.

Well, Mattel doesn't seem to think that way. Why else would they held off a few characters like Batman Beyond and Black manta, throw in some additional accessories and make it a Matty online exclusive.

It seems like Mattel is gearing everything DC towards kids and shying away from collectors. DC comics inspired vehicles, Super Friends, Batman evergreen line, Total Heroes, Man of Steel, and the Target exclusive new 52 toon style figures etc.

I'm excited for the batman beyond figure, however at the same time I'm starting to hate Matty and there decision to use DHL and all the other additional charges. :(

This is a very good question. Does anyone know? Did Mattel silently ax DC/Batman Unlimited and replaced it with these stylized Total Heroes line? I recall seeing/hearing anything about 2014 waves at the previous toy shows.
