The Winnipeg Toy & Comic Expo returns to Winnipeg this year on March 3rd & 4th at the Canadinns Polopark!

This years special guest is Michael Dorn, best know for his role as Commader Worf from the Star Trek Universe. The Expo will also feature an anime video room, cosplaying and over 80 tables of toys and comics to check out!

Lots of AFN and Cybertron.ca memebrs will have tables at this event including myself, Benzo, C-Spray, Haggis, Skinsquad and more!

Good buys on vintage action figures have been harder to come by at this show. The vendors scoop everything up early off each other before the show opens.

I won't say that it can't happen, but I will say I bought a lot of G1 Transformers stuff last year on the Sunday afternoon after a ton of people already had a shot at all of it.

Nevermind the vintage complete Mork for Ork with his Eggship I scored on the Sunday at closing time as well.:p

I find that a lot of people don't dig around at the dealer tables that belong to collectors and that there is often something cool to find in the bottom of a box.

Also Raven Collectibles tells me they are bringing a huge assortment of in box G1 stuff they aquired recently.

I eagerly anticipate making many sales this coming Toy Show/Expo. And hopefully will find a few good deals.

You'll find me helping out the fan table and Rob's table as always. Wait? Are we having a Fan table at this event?

Do you want to head up a Fanclub table? We can get one I'm sure I'm just concerned about having volunteers to man it. If your in I'll see if I can get someone else to give you a hand.

Good day fellow Manitoban's, I'm an avid ML fan, new and old, and was wondering what the March toyfair pricing might be like, considering the new releases. Also, what does a volunteer at a Fanclub table have in the form of duties to the Expo? Would one need to be a member?

Welcome here!

Pricing will be largely similar to secondary Market pricing, though sometimes there are deals to be found. There is a big cross section of dealers from larger sellers like Evolution Colletible and Raven, to smaller dealers that might only get one or two tables.

Have you been to one of the local shows before PegMan? Either C4 or the other toy shows?

With a lot of Iacon North members manning their own sellers tables I don't know if we'll have enough people to man it. However I'm up for doing anything, just so long as I have time to look around, and all that.

We'll see what I can come up with. We have a bunch of folks coming out so there will be people around. It might be a good idea just to have an extra hang out spot.
