Initial sighting came in from a Walmart in Manitoba.

Obnoxiously large packaging. Its like they're charging you for the self-space it takes up.

That's exactly what they're doing. Retail placement and shelf space is valuable, and retailers charge brands more for better placement.

The base takes a lot of place in the box although it looks kinda empty

The price isn't that far off from the contents. You have a 30$ figure, a 25$ figure and an extra base which is not free.

All this for 64$ makes way more sense than how much that Kildor two pack cost.
