Money spent on toys in 2014

It's only 5 months into 2014 and I found myself already spending more money than I did in 2013. I will still buy more stuff for the rest of year though.
Are there anybody else in the same shoes?

Here are some of the lines of toys that I've purchased this year:
  • DC Collectibles figures
  • Spider-man Legends
  • Captain America Legends
  • Transformers
  • Lego
  • Pacific Rim
  • Hotwheels
  • Power Rangers
  • Star Wars

The list is not big, but I think 2014 is probably one of the best year of toys!

Toys, not that much yet but the year is young.

If it wasn't for LEGO, my total would've been very low so far. But because I suddenly out of nowhere got interested in their modular building line in January, I've spent a crapload obtaining most of those modular building sets.

I am an ML collector, I don't every figure ever made by Toybiz or Hasbro for that matter, but since the 'return', I haven't missed a beat and yes, the army building has cost me a lot! I also get the MS figs that fit with them IMO, so that's some more. I also started into Plat Arts Kai with Batman red and the Flash variants very cool stuff, but not cheap. Do I count stuff I buy as gifts? Lol because my niece and nephew get some things too!

I won't give a definitive number, but easily over $1500 so far, and like Robimus said, the year isn't half over!

I end up buying more toys since last year. LEGO too was the unexpected bit. I also bought a few Transformers Beasthunters because I am impressed by BumbleBee in the series and the fact that Wal Mart has them for $5

I'm a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan so with the new Nick Toons I've been spending a lot of that toy line and the LEGOs. There are going to be a few deformed style or chubby style TMNT figures later this year from different companies too. I know Kid Robot is making some cool stuff as well as Loyal Subjects and Mystery Figures.

I haven't purchased much this year so far, just a couple of lego sets. I do have a decent sized list I what I do want to by though.

I think I'm up this year as well. Thanks to the LEGO Movie, I started picking up a lot LEGO sets I would have otherwise overlooked. Then there's the Marvel Legends Infinite Series stuff, which I've been buying as well (bought very little Return of ML prior to the infinite series). However, I've cut way back on Play Arts Kai, so maybe I've balanced out.

What I've done. is I only buy online at least once a month to other 2 months.

I only purchase or hunt for figures every other weekend.

I only strictly hunt for Marvel and DC stuff. I collected lego build a figures, but they take a lot of space so i've stopped.

I often now when i'm purchasing online will be buying the whole wave package instead of one each.

in total for this year i might be under $1500 to say the least.

2013 was my best year.
