Re: Galaxy's Edge in Orlando
Trip to Galaxy's Edge was great!
I was actually disappointed in the stuff you could buy (not just figures, but overall the merch wasn't that great)
They did have the following Black Series
- the 2 4 pack figures still (droids and first order) for 75.99 US each
- the concept Obi Wan / Vader for 56.99 (this one i bought)
- some assorted regular BS figures (didn't check prices on them)
- Boba / Vader / Bo-Katan BS helmets (135 US i think)
Didn't see any 3.5 figures
They do sell lightsabers (i picked up the vader) but i didn't do the "build your own saber" as you needed to reserve that. So if you want to do that, make sure you reserve your time.
Same with the cantina, you need to book time for that.
The rise of resistance ride is definitely the highlight of the day (did it twice in a row).
Smuggler's Run was good, but if you get motion sickness easy i wouldn't recommend it.
Star Tours ride was good (updated for ST but still had C3PO as the 'pilot"
The area is well done but there wasn't as much characters walking around. Not sure what i was expecting but we saw Chewbacca around the falcon for a short time and happened to "catch" when Kylo comes out of his ship.
I heard that Mando was there the day before but we never saw him during our day there.
There is photo ops in a separate area with Chewbacca / Vader and BB-8. WOuld have been nice if they had even R2 with BB-8, or even C3PO as well.
Was definitely a great day and experience, but not sure i would need to go back anytime soon expect for maybe to do the rest of Hollywood studios as we spent our time in Galaxy's Edge. We did watch the Indy show which was good.
