Thanks to AFN members Tommy Barricade and CSpray we now know that the Star Wars 40th Anniversary Wave 2 has been released at Walmart stores in Canada. This wave includes Jawa, Tusken Raider, C-3PO and Death Star Commander.

Awesome! The Jawa is much nicer looking than pics make out. Articulation is the biggest drawback.

I don't know where you are in Canada, but they are out now at various Walmarts in Toronto. I've heard one person report finding the wave at TRU, but I've yet to see it myself.

I posted over a week ago when I saw these at a Walmart in Scarborough (Ontario). They had a full case on the pegs.

Amazon had the wave up for a while too PRICED AT 46$ from amazon.ca so weird so i emailed them about it and they basically said no mistake thats the price but they would talk to their pricing team about it. Next day they started dropping to 34-35$ some are still up now. So wierd though they were up forever at 46$ and its almost like the want to raise the price from 30$ but wanted to see how much people are willing to pay. Kinda like sunrise having a bunch of han and r2 for above reatil. Im hoping this trend of retail chains scalping stops as its super uncool!

Doesn't Sunrise sell everything for well above SRP though?

Also, that's some weird pricing from Amazon. The cost on these did go up a bit, but not THAT much. I think we might start seeing $34.99 as the standard for 6" Hasbro stuff, but those are just weird price points at Amazon.

Its even weirder they were up all week at 47$ from amazon.ca which is crazy its canadapost thats the problem i believe the price increase comes from them shipping in boxes as opposed to envelopes and CP rates just went up! Its weird it took me and a couple people to get it lowered to what is now as quoted by them the standard pricing! So looks like amazon and ebgames are the first to enforce this 34.99 price point which is crazy! $40 a figure you can buy figuarts for $50 so fuck it right?

I can't say with 100% certainty, but I'm pretty sure it's Hasbro Canada raising their prices disproportionately. The US cost actually didn't increase, I can still order these from US suppliers at the same cost as previous waves, and even with the exchange rate it's a lot cheaper than buying in Canada.

Yeah and $19.99 is the USD price for these and that's $27 Canadian. So even the $29.99 price is too high when doing conversion.

We have seen this price increase already at EB Games with Marvel Legends and some Black Series. I didn't expect it this quickly elsewhere tho. I thought Force Friday would be the point it would change.

FYI

The entire wave has been going in and out of stock on Amazon all day. I was able to get the last 3 I needed (C3PO, Stormtrooper and Sand People) after getting the first 3 earlier in the day.

Keep checking back. Jawa, Chewbacca and Commander are all in stock right now.

FYI Dont order these in multiples of 1. I had an order or all six come today. I waited on jawa and chew to change to lower price and bought them sperately. The rest were all packed in box and nice and well protected. The individual ones were put in a padded envelope and stuffed into my mail box which chew is too wide for needless to say chew and jawa are destroyed beyond belief. So be careful! If you find extra set before you get yours shipped dont pass as it may be very damaged on arrival!
