Claire Gilchrist, Vice President of Hasbro Consumer Products – Asia Pacific, recently visited India*to implement new initiatives in the region. Several local media outlets received the opportunity to discuss future plans of the company. Hasbro will focus on re-introducing the G.I. Joe brand to India after its massive popularity back in the 80s. The upcoming toyline will revolve around the theatrical release of G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes. Maybe Hasbro should fix their distribution problems at home before trying to saturate another market!!! and its india who the hell wants an American Soldier in lands that were once under control of American Soldiers? That would be like trying to sell a 747 with Saudi Terrorist action figures in NY city!

Actually the British ruled India, GiJoe has a big history in India. Look up Funskool who manufactured Gi Joe there under license. Last time I went there in 2002 Gi Joe was widely available. Somewhat cheaper plastic and very cheap paper used for cards but at $2 Canadian a pop a great place to army build.
