Why not? He actually looks quite short in that pic.

I wish they would release more figures, at this rate it's going to be 2020 before we get all the major characters released.

Target seems to be the place for them at the moment, although I have not seen a Stormtrooper yet myself.

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion
Picked up a Stormtrooper at a TRU in Ottawa this morning, actually! One case was put out, but I'd already found a Luke at Target a few weeks back. So they're starting to show up...maybe?

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion
A while back I was ranting about how the 4" Marvel series figures seemed to be taking all these steps in the wrong direction lately/near future, and took some shots a how expensive 6" stuff was, and that they weren't worth what you're getting(Marvel and Star Wars). And although I still think you're getting burned on the 6" Marvel stuff, I got to say that I'm completely wrong about the 6" Black Series Star Wars stuff.
With this recent 25% off sale at TRU, I finally got the chance to purchase the Biker Scout/Speeder Bike set. And I have to say that this is definitely a set worth getting(wicked figure).
This isn't my first buy from this line, in fact I've actually bought quite a few figures. One thing that really makes this line worth getting into, is the fact that I think almost every figure is a brand new mold/sculpt(unlike the new Marvel Legends-same bodies, different heads). And the accessories(they all come with something-it just adds to the value).
This has to be one of, if not the best line of figures I've seen lately, in any scale(c'mon G.I.Joe, bring on your 6" line). This line puts the new Hasbro Marvel Legends to shame.
Oh, and on another note, have any of you guys purchased the Jabba the Hutt set? Is it worth it? It just seems hard to throw down the money on this guy, even with this current sale price. As iconic as he is, all I see is a big blob of plastic.

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion
I purchased the Jabba the Hutt at Fan Expo Toronto last month. It was being sold at the Hasbro booth for $20, so obviously I snatched it up!
I'm quite happy with it, but that's also because I paid only $20 for it.
I think the asking price is pretty damn steep.
For the $44.99 price, it should be the SDCC exclusive, which came with the hookah and Salacious Crumb.

I wish it was the SDCC exclusive too, he comes with absolutely nothing. Not including Salacious Crumb isn't that big of a deal to me, but the hookah? C'mon.
What would have been really sweet, is if they included a slave.

Getting really worried about these up here. Nothing new except Obi wave since... when, summer?
HTS won't even ship the new figures in Blue packaging, who are in-stock, up to Canada.

I have given up on Canadian big box stores to carry these. They are 3 waves behind. No choice but to get them from the quarterly toy shows or online.

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion
Thanks to the many peg-warming Greedo and Leia figures everywhere, no way the retailers will order more. Even clearance-priced at $10, they are still not moving... lol

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion
Yea, I'm guessing the mistake was making Leia and Greedo apart of wave 2. Or probably the retailers overstocking on the wave 2.
They have to at least release the Vader wave, they know he'll sell for sure!

Is there any alternative to bbts.com and the local game store? Apparently walmart is not carrying them any more.

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion
I wonder why repack Obi-Wan for wave 6, he seems to the warmer from wave 3. Just need wave 5 Chewie, Vader, Luke, and wave 6 Yoda and I'm done with black. Would have bought wave 8 Palpatine if he came with his saber.
I hope they release a Qui-Gon and Mace soon!

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion
Yoda on its own seems to be sold out everywhere I looked online :/
I checked BBTS and you need to get the wave bundles (minus repacks) to get Yoda, Palp, Bossk etc. Problem is, the cost per figure would be $30 Canadian and that is not including shipping :0
To me the cost from the states is too high and with no source in Canada 6" Black doesn't work for me. This is unfortunate as I am complete up to an including wave 5 which I ordered online before the Canadian dollar dropped.

I feel the same way. Nearly $40 after shipping and exchange is pretty steep. I think toys r us might be the only retailer left, aside from the local game/comic stores, which are just as expensive as bbts.com.

Get it while you can. Ive bought twice from them before and it was a good transaction.
Only other reliable place is as the quarterly toy shows. They always have them. Expect to pay between $25 and $40 though. Got Yoda for $30 at the last show.

Decent.
It's ridiculous how hard these are to get for a reasonable price.

I caved and bought vader at superstore. Not going to risk missing out on snagging vader if no one else is carrying him.
