Thanks to AFN member Quantum we are pleased to let everyone know that the highly anticipated new Thundercats toyline has started to appear at Canadian retail.

The 6" Modern Thundercats Figures and 8" Classic Thundercats Figures were spotted at a Toys"R"us in Hamilton, Ontario.

Wave 1 of the Classics lineup is Lion-o and Tygra according to what I could dig up on the interwebz.

Is the Classic Lion-O the same as the one from SDCC?

Also, what are they like. Particularly articulation, plastic quality and sculpt.

I've been watching the original Thundercats on TeleToon Retro recently and I'm really digging it. I might pick a couple of these up. Can't seem to find the new show though.

Modern wave 1 is Lion-o, Panthro, Mumm-ra. 2 Lion-os for every 1 Panthro and Mumm-ra.

18 points of articulation, and pretty cool accessories. Plastic looks good, but I didn't pick any up so couldn't say how it feels. Sculpts are amazing, although I prefer the modern to the classic figs.

I purchased the classic Lion-O at fan expo for $25..so I saved on tax..if anyone wants pictures of the box let me know..

I plan on picking up the classics figures. I hear the new show is really good, got to check it out when I get some free time.
