Your top 5 Action Figures of 2020
 

Everyone here collects various lines so what was your top 5 figures released in 2020? What do you hope to see made in 2021?

For me, I'm listing my top (in no order) based on what I already own and I'm not taking after market prices into consideration.

1. Snake eyes G.I. joe classified
2. Baroness G.I joe classified
3. Lion-o Thundercats super 7 ultimates
4. Ghostbusters kenner classics (I know its not one but you can
really pick any of the 4 Ghostbusters)
5. Hollywood Hogan wwe ultimates (I don't actually physically have it yet but I ordered it in 2020 still waiting for it to arrive)

2021
I hope to see more Ghostbusters stuff.
I'd love a plasma series line based on the 4 animated Ghostbusters with a boogeyman baf.
A kenner classics ecto-1
And some kenner classics of figures never made such as boogeyman, sandman etc...

I’d love to see more Ghostbusters stuff.
1- GI Joe Classified PD Destro. Love the sunglasses and cape.
2-Mandalorian Super Commando. I like the Loyalist, but the SC helmet is amazing.
3-Incinerator Trooper, because the overall set up is amazing.
4-Lord Drakkon EVO III. Nuff said.
5-Red Ninja. The extra accessories, the posability and the overall aesthetic.

Super7 TMNT Ultimates Raphael
Maybe i'm confusing "best" with "favorite" but I didn't expect this line or this figure to be as good as it did. I initially didn't even preorder any of wave 1, but after reviews came out I was quick to buy all 4. All figures were solid but Raphael was just like a 1 to 1 of the old playmates toy, but with better everything

MOTU Origins as a whole
This was a huge year for He-Man and MOTU fans alike. We got 3 waves of an entirely new line out. Not to mention the WWE's subline chuggung alongside the mainline's release. Affordable, (almost) nationally accessible, and the cherry on top, mix and match. The entire line is the same all the way down, so it's hard to pick just 1 to be TOTY, but if I had to i'd say Machoman Randy Savage or Trap-Jaw

Earthrise "Leader" Optimus Prime
Just solid all around. Solid transformation, solid alt mode, solid robot mode. Good articulation, little to no gaps, and more paint than we're used to seeing with mainline TF releases.

Classified Snake Eyes
I kind of got this guy late but i'm including him anyway. He made me realize how good Hasbro can make their toys. He gets all this love in the sculpted details, and accessories and added articulation, and then we get phoned in stuff like Carbonized Black Series, exact same molds just shiny. Not even a quarter of the effort they put in with the Classified line

Mezco One12 Doc Nocturnal
Just like Baron Bends, Rumble Society delivers on quality. Gets points docked for the scummy practice of selling with a bunch of useless junk. Wapencamer set is cool, too.

Solid lists so far. Given that I typically open figures that were released in past years, my best of might look a bit different.

1. McFarlane Fortnite Dire: Hear me out, he’s a headband wearing, shotgun wielding, full articulated Werwolf with a set of nunchucks. As far as I’m concerned, the fact that he’s from Fortnite is irrelevant.

2. DC Icons Deathstroke. A seriously great figure from an under appreciated line.

3. Mcfarlane Wizarding World Lord Voldemort: Unfortunately the rest of the gang was a bit weak in comparison, but I absolutely loved this version of the character. The Addition of Nagini was pretty awesome too.

4. Disney Toy Box- Darth Maul. It’s nice that Maul is getting some love after all these years and the toy box version is just really fun.

5. Hulk and Wolverine 2 pack. Not much to say except that I love both these figures


Honourable mentions go to Skurge from the Thor 2 pack, Studio Series Jetfire and Icons BatGirl.

Thanks rj64! These are fun to do

1. Black series stormtrooper/incinerator trooper. Huge improvement on the original troopers and I was fine with those.

2. Classified snake eyes. How long have we been waiting for this?

3. Marvel legends storm from thunderbird 2 pack. My favorite rendition. Love classic xmen!

4. Black series count dooku.

5. McDonalds funko pop grimace. I know it’s not an action figure but it makes me smile every time I see it. Gotta put it on the list

In 2021, I’m looking forward to the gi joe flint. Also a gi joe bat and mandalorian boba fett
