The LEGO thread
This is what is hopefully going to be the LEGO thread. I understand that with this site in relative infancy, traffic here may not pick up right away, but for any comments or questions about all things LEGO, be it the ever popular BIONICLE line, Castle, Power Miners or Star Wars, feel free to post here and discuss all things LEGO.
Myself, I just ordered the Clone Walker BP from TRU.ca five days ago, it should arrive tomorrow. I am excited. I'm also eager to post pictures of my custom minifigs and MOCs (My Own Creation) such as my Half-Life 2 Ep2 minifigs.

Re: The LEGO thread
I just picked up Gresh. Pretty cool, but I'm stoked for the Mata Nui fig later this year. What I'm hoping to see at NYTF are more pics of the new Space Police line. I really like the look of the bad guy's vehicles and the new SP minifigs are awesome! Hopefully they'll also show more pics of the new Agents sets.

Re: The LEGO thread
Thats a sweet discovery! The Solar Sail, cool!
I've got a ton of Star Wars Lego myself, though I've fallen off a bit in recent years. I still really want the Star Destroyer released last year.

Re: The LEGO thread
I have all six Glatorian and I must say, there is more win there than there has been in BIONICLE for quite some time. I also have the Agori, and while neat, they're mostly nothing to write home about. Much better than the Av-Matoran and I really love Tarduk. (for his character and design)
I have to remember to copy my reviews from TFW here. Once I finally get the Clone Walker I can finish my Half-Life minifigs and post them, too. (I really just need the driver's dark grey arms for Freeman, but the main reason I got the set is for the clones)
I also have the Assasin droids pack and Stormtrooper pack. Both are really funky. I love these little battle packs.

Re: The LEGO thread
Yeah, when I first got back into Lego about 10 years ago they had those nifty 3 packs w/ an "exclusive" minifig. Each came with a base and a backdrop. I'm happy minifig packs are back in the form of army builders.

Re: The LEGO thread
Yes, I have seen that. It's freaking you should mention it 'cuz I found it just browsing yesterday and was all like "that's hot shit". The only problem is the feet. It tried something like that and those parts broke after a while. The praise for it is a little crazy, though.
And If I had sticker paper, they would be stickers. As is, they're just printed paper with clear tape over them to hold it on and make it shiny.
While not LEGO related, has anyone heard that MEGA, makers of Megabloks is going to make LEGO style HALO WARS sets? Badassery. And yet still no official LEGO Half-Life. ;)

Re: The LEGO thread
When you said the pieces broke, do you mean the actual bricks used broke or that the pieces just woudn't stay together? Not a big fan of Megabloks but it wouldn't surprise me if they made Halo.

Re: The LEGO thread
The prongs of the "claw" on the foot peices used there actually snapped and broke after a while. And while I'm not a big MBs fan, I would have to get at least one set to have a little Grunt, Brute, Spartan, etc.

I see it now, the post problably put more pressure on the bottom piece than it could handle. BTW, do you ever pop off and switch your minifig arms for MOCs?

All the time. I actually plan to give the dark gray arms of the Clone Gunner from the Battle Pack to my Gordon Freeman custom.

Ran into a Lego rep at TRU yesterday. She gave me 2 minutes to look through the 2009 catalogue. The new Space Police and Agents sets are great!

I got my first Power Miner set today, the Claw Digger, it's pretty cool. I love teh rock monster and the build was just plain fun. The actual set is quite fun and it looks great, even though I still am not 100% sold on bright orange and lime green.

I believe Ahsoka's fighter is actually a slightly different design (based off the same model of craft) while the droid ship is a different kind entirely. I don't know what the WTF is for, since I'm sure there are people who would'nt mind more Vultures.
I plan to get it eventually, as I want the Starfighter and it's peices, I like Vulture droids and I need Ahsoka's head peice for my Shaak Ti custom.

I flipped my wig when I came across this site...
http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6950-1
I used to have this as a kid, until I lost all the pieces :(
Sure brought back some good memories, now I'm going to have to hunt down the parts and build it again :)

Re: The LEGO thread
CC, might want to try bricklink to hunt down some of the pieces, or maybe a set. Although buying it as pieces is probably cheaper.
Do we report sightings here too?
TRU seems to have a "buy 2 or more get 25% off" thing happening. It applies to Bionicle, Castle, and Agent themes.
I think those are the terms of the sale.
I think it ends tomorrow?

My Power Miners collection now sits at four. I have Claw Digger, Mine Mech, and the smaller, treaded driller with the blue Rock Monster and bucket. I also have the bike. Very cool line. I really want the big driller machine next.
