Pre Orders at EB Games have arrived.

The highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2-Packs by NECA are now here in the great white north. Though in limited quantities.

These sets include Leonardo vs Shreddar, Donatello vs Krang, Michaelangelo vs Foot Soldier and Raphael vs Foot Soldier.

The sets are priced at $69.99. Or cheaper if you have a platinum card.

Unless you pre ordered..you might be out of luck..but good luck if you decide to try and look.

My stores didn’t get any pre-orders in and most stores only got pre-order allocation. So I’m still waiting for my set of 4.

Pretty bad launch IMO for the first NECA Turtles released in Canada. Kinda embarrassing actually.

This seems to be an ongoing issue with yourself and others (getting screwed on preorders). Honestly I've had zero issues ordering this stuff on their website incl these figures.

If feasible maybe do both methods, at worst you'll have an extra set which I'm sure can be easily sold off at cost or returned.

In my experiences those items that end up super hard to get in store are really easy to obtain online and in most cases I receive my online order before the stores even get theirs.

I do in store only and I shouldn’t have to place multiple orders in store and online to get an item.

Also I can’t use my Onyx membership and earn points either. So I can’t get my 15% off unless I bring it in store and return and rebuy. But that isn’t always allowed.

NECA dropped the ball. There is no reason there shouldn’t have been some on shelves too for anyone.

As the first NECA Turtles release in Canada, it is currently a failure.

No you shouldn't but that appears to current climate your having to deal with. It's really a scenario where you may have no other choice but to adapt. While it is frustrating at some point you can't keep doing the same thing expecting different results in the end your the only one who loses. I can appreciate your reasons but I mean at some point you can either assure yourself the item or be left rolling the dice and being disappointed over and over, otherwise what's the point in expressing disappointment if you don't change how you get there. Otherwise you can't really be surprised when your left empty handed.

To be fair we don't know if it's NECAs fault or EB Games. Perhaps online orders considerably outnumbered in store orders which would effect in store quantities. Neca didn't anticipate the demand etc... Considering its the first rollout there's alot of variables. Only thing that would be a step in the right direction is more being available next time. They had no metrics to go on and it's really better to make less and have more demand then to make too much and overestimate the demand and be stuck with alot of stock. It's bad business.

We don't know what happened and pointing a finger at alot we don't know that is all speculation even whose to blame.

Share your concerns with Neca maybe that will let them know what's going on.

I should be able to preorder a product and get it. I shouldn’t need a bunch of back ups to ensure I get them and then deal with cancelling them all after or returning them. Especially when it’s the same retailer we are talking about. I shouldn’t need to preorder at both EBs in town and online to make sure I get an item. That’s utterly embarrassing for EB and NECA.

It’s a failure of a launch. If there’s no product it’s a failure. Doesn’t matter how you want to paint it. Little to no product for the first NECA Turtle launch in Canada.

Oh I hear ya. In a perfect world it would totally work out for everyone involved. I've never actually pre-ordered in store at EB ever, I'm solely online preorders, obviously they take online orders in higher priority as I don't think I've ever not had a pre-order ship or be cancelled.

Backups may not be convenient but for myself they work and I always get what I need with little hassle. To each their own naturally. It's frustrating to see when a system fails.

Hopefully the trend ends soon and you get what you order. Otherwise I can't envision any other option besides sourcing it online that could help even without the hassle of backup ordering. :)

$70 for two action figures. Toy pricing is just disgusting don't even care that they are Neca its still over priced.

COnsidering how much I paid for the original exclusives release $70 isnt bad. At least you have the chance to purchase it.

The low quantity available factors in to the cost. I'm used to seeing 30 odd bucks for a NECA or DC Collectible figure. Even Marvel Legends cost 30 bucks these days.

If it makes you feel any better I pre ordered online and they fulfilled 1/4. At first I was pissed but now I see it as a blessing in disguise...didnt need a $300 credit card invoice.

Not trying to defend the likes of EB but Neca probably under estimated demands. They are also the company that manufactured the OG comic turtle figures on a hand shake deal, and were basically issued a CAD from playmates for infringing on their licensing deal. And before anyone says anything, I know neca has come a long way since those days but common man lol.

None of my 4 sets have come in. And neither store in town got any at all. They have a bunch of customers like me wanting answers. What a mess.

I understand the disappointment, but it is what it is. The answer people will get from EB games will be "we thank you for your inquiry, but regretfully we did not receive enough stock to fulfill the number of pre orders that we had received on these items. If we do receive further shipments we will do our best to make it right and fulfill existing orders."

The answer from Neca will boil down to "we only had a limited supply for distribution, now excuse me as I have rocket firing boba fett to attend to". It sucks, I know and can relate but at the end of the day EB isnt in a binding contract with their customers regarding pre orders and will refund you the $5 you put down (if it was even required). If you paid in full I could understand being irate, but outside of that there isnt much that can be done other than hope they restock.

You probably wont find a bigger TMNT fan than myself but I really dont see this as the end of the world. I got 1 of 4 sets and have accepted that I probably wont get the other 3 and it's fine. At this point getting none would be better for my psyche as I will always see Mikey and want the other 3, but I won't run to ebay and over pay. If I get them cool, if not I have an extra 200 bucks in the bank.

I hope this doesn't happen with the movie ones coming out next month and they get enough stock as well as the future neca turtles we saw at sdcc 2019.

It’s not fine. This was NECAs first TMNT launch in Canada and it should have been them working even harder to ensure a good first impression with fans in Canada.

I dunno I still get it from their (NECA) perspective you can't flood the market with product you don't know how it will sell. I'm sure moving forward distribution will improve.

I strongly agree with you because I wanted this first release to be smooth and easy not a nightmare!

Well that is one way to look at it but it surely doesn't hurt to stock up some EB Games Store or little comic book stores with stock. There are TMNT collectors out there, "If you build it THEY WILL COME!" In other words "give me my FREAKING Turtles"!!:argh:

Great news I finally got the call to pick up my TMNT 2PKS. Can't wait to pick them up tomorrow:)

Sadly Silver Snail and Planet X and Hero World are sold out so fast. Worst is they ONLY took Pre-orders not walk ins!

I'm sure Neca sees this as a smooth launch, they sold a boat load of toys and also scratched the backs on the tmnt fans internationally by making what was once a sdcc exclusive available at retail. They were also shipping to the UK, Europe etc not just canada. EB needs to really have a better system in place, if their purchasers made a PO for 50,000 units they should close pre orders at an appropriate number and not let them rack up beyond what they are able to supply. This will also help the buyers see the buying trend of a new product line and order higher numbers in the future without fear of losing their jobs due to their company sitting on dead stock that didnt sell. I genuinely sympathize with the people who really wanted the stuff and didnt get it, but it's not the end of the world. You didnt get it and you're mad, would you also be mad in the future if you paid full price and 3 months down the road EB was sending these out the door on a 60% mark down because they were sitting on inventory that they couldnt sell? I'm sure these sets are going to start trickling out in stores at some point, the sales numbers probably justify a re order in the near future. Patience is virtue.

Any news if EB will get the sdcc shredder, foot, splinter movie figures? I read in the states gamestop is taking in store preorders and selling these individually like the turtles movie ones.

Huh? Yup what.

There is no news of those hitting EB Games in Canada yet. The person asking was fully aware they were available for preorder in the USA at GameStop.

Though it's not neca, I wonder if we will get the batman vs ninja turtle two packs. I think they're gamestop exclusives so I hope EB gets them.

The Greenier Cartoon Turtles is just an individual release of the Target Exclusive 2pk Cartoon Turtles but with Greenier skin color.

This other picture is NOT neca it's SUPER 7 see the comparison. They make them look like the Original Playmates 1987 Turtles.

I can't wait for the New 2019 NECA TMNT Cartoon Greener Turtles Re-paints. Also April O'Neill and Casey Jones. Hopefully we will get the Bebop and Rocksteady or the Slash or the Foot Clan in damage and disguise versions too.

First time we get the pixel Arcade TMNT SDCC Exclusive then the Target Exclusive 2pk and now the upcoming Greener Repaint. Same figures different paint job!

EB Games Upper James had the Donatello/Krang & Raphael/Foot Soldier packs as of this afternoon. I picked up the Michaelangelo/Foot Soldier set.

Relax. There was a main page post saying they were available for pre order at EB. That post has since been removed so I assume the poster had their lines crossed with "game stop" and took it down. I'm sure they will be listed at EB as well in the near future.

I pre-ordered online with delivery to store. Paid a deposit.
My store never received them. I kept calling to check, and they assured me that when they came in they would call me.

Eventually went in, they'd never gotten my preorder. Fortunately they had 3 of the sets still for sale and were able to get in the last one from another store.
