Thanks to multiple reports today we now know that the GI Joe Classified Serpentor has been released in Canada.

Pre Orders are coming into Gamestops across the country. Some are very likely to end up on shelves.

I was really hoping it wouldn't get released early. I did the phone pre-order before it showed up on the website. They only hold for 48 hours and I'm away all week next week when it probably will arrive. I did call the store and he put a note on my preorder to hold until the 22nd if it comes in. Luckily he was sympathetic because the release date moved up like 3 weeks and said that was enough justification to hold it longer for me.

I kinda feel like everyone will need to get used to pre order dates not meaning much going forward.

Because they know people will pay it... I thought that Zartan deluxe set was overpriced but the collectors bought it up, so Hasbro is going to keep ramping up the price until something finally doesn't sell.

Exactly how I felt about that Viper 3-pack. Way overpriced (unless you didn?t manage to get the Cobra Island Vipers).

While I want to wait for them to go on clearance or something, people just seem to keep buying them. Guess my Vipers will be without an Officer.

Yeah, each figure comes to $40 each as Inpaid $125 each for the 2 sets. If it drops below $100, I might be tempted to get another.

It's funny that Gamestop is getting Serpentor before Mindbender considering how long Mindbender has bee announced.

Yeah, no kidding. GameStop had Mindbender’s release as July or something originally. As long as he comes eventually, I’m happy

Man I just opened Serpentor. What a beast! I know it?s expensive, but this was my absolute favourite toy when I was a kid. I was obsessed with the movie and this hits my nostalgia button like no other action figure since I got the OG version in the ?80?s.

I heard the Mindbender release at GS is mid December now.

I picked up my Serpentor this evening but didn’t get the chance to open up the box yet. Went to soccer and dislocated a finger instead. Now I’m stuck waiting to have it set. So some time tomorrow I’ll get to check out the figure. Looking forward to it, as I never had the figure as a kid, but I remember watching Arise Serpentor Arise back in the 80’s and how those episodes were the talk of the playground for me and my friends all those years ago

Too bad the higher price for the Viper 3-pack didn’t go towards quality control. Heard about the skin tone mismatch.

Got me Serpentor today, and WOW! If it wasn't for the price, I would say this is one of the best Classified, hell 6" figure, releases this year, or even the last few years.


The detail put into his sculpt, the cape, accessories, everything! *Chef's Kiss*


It's just that price that drags it down. I love it, but I don't think I love it at $132 (just really like it). :canada:


Makes me wonder (worry) what the price will be on the Trouble Bubble w/Tele-Viper next year. :argh:

Tele-viper and trouble bubble should be $55 like Breaker and RAM. Hope it won’t be an exclusive.

"Should be" being the key. But I think we all know it won't be.

Duke & RAM is listed on Hasbro's site as 10% higher than Breaker & RAM. Guaranteed the Trouble Bubble will be at least $50 USD... So, probably $80+ in TRU Dollars

I agree, it should be. But that's very doubtful. If a semi-popular character like Serpentor could sell for over $100. A crazy popular character like Tele-Viper with the Trouble Bubble/Flight Pod, guaranteed they'll be charging around the same price. New vehicle design.

But I doubt the tele-viper/bubble will get the pulse exclusive treatment ie. limited release, super deluxe packaging.

Hope it wouldn't get the extra packaging, being an army-building set and all. Hoping to manage at least a couple when they do show up.

The Trouble Bubble w/TeleViper won't be $55. Prices have gone up since they RAM was released. That alone means it won't be the same price.


Then add in the size of the Trouble Bubble. The RAM and COIL had the luxury of being fairly compact. The Trouble Bubble is more closely sized to Serpentor's Air Chariot than a motorcycle. That, to me, means the box will probably be more like Sepentors (big and boxy) rather than thin and long like the RAM.



It may not be deluxe packaging like Serpentor, and it won't be an exclusive, so it won't be as pricey as Serpentor, but it definitely won't be as cheap as the RAM.

Plus, the RAM and the COIL were both TRU exclusives. If that were to be the case, and with TRU's prices being what they are, I can't imagine it would be anywhere near those prices.

Finally put my Air Chariot together.

Here it is with my 25th Serpentor and Air Chariot. The Classified one is a very impressive vehicle.

That's why Mindbender shipped with Serpentor...he was busy creating Serpentor before he shipped :)

Gamestop.ca has Serpentor for instore pickup and seems in stock at many locations in GTA.
