Re: Marvel Legends discussion

The mold doesn't really have an impact on plasticizers leaking. For instance, Hasbro's most overused mold Bucky-Cap, hasn't had a figure where plasticizers leak out (at least not yet).

The issue...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

That's why I opted not to preorder Scarlet Spider. The demand is clearly there and I was still burnt from the bad taste that the Symbiote Spider-Man left me.

I eventually ended up finding Symbiote...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Something I'm noticing is the very sporadic amount of Legends stock that Toys R Us has. The one in Hurontario has a decent amount, but then you look at Vaughan Mills and its barely 30% of an aisle....

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

It's on Amazon for 71.99, that's why the price for Gamestop was so strange since the original price is 80

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Wow, Gamestop has the most expensive version of Hawkeye. Was hoping it'd be priced in the 60s after Edge discount.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Now thats way more reasonable. Had no idea what they were smoking thinking that 84.99 was the conversion from the American price of 29.99.

Might think about picking it up soon.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

I think generally mecha products are almost always closed boxes going as far as early Super Sentai series and eventually the Power Rangers series. I remember Bandai's Zords always been closed boxes,...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

When you look at premium collector lines like Mafex and Revoltech and still see a window, it does make me wonder where Hasbro got the idea that the closed boxes offer a more premium feel. Because it...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Check your gamestops, Mr. Knights shipped out to stores and just got my figure. Some stores got multiple stock, while some got only 1.

Apparently this is supposed to be one of the more difficult...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

By any chance does anyone know if they've seen a J Jonah Jameson on the retro card on any stores?

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

I hope this causes a shift. Or at the very least, rethinking about how to make packaging that isn't asking to get abused.

I believe there was a rumour that Walmart and Target are not happy with...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

The no-returns effectively kills me ever getting the windowless boxes from here on out. I've already cut down on my purchases, but seeing that I was nervous to open RYV (which thankfully I got my...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Yikes. Other retailers will likely adopt this too. Amazon and Walmart is running rampant with swaps.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

This is very true. Modular is still on clearance at Walmart online for 25 dollars, and you can argue that the colour selection is much better suited than the Retro's gloss red and yellow.

And the...

I didn't. I wasn't into Marvel Legends at the time, and now that I've collected everything I needed for X-Men, I've been focusing on rounding out the characters for displays. I want both Phoenix and...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

I think that’s a Pulse exclusive. Which is different from the Iron Man being a Pulsecon exclusive.

That said, TRU usually gets the Pulse exclusives, which is not good news.

Man if the Iron...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Wal-Mart is arguably the worst with swaps. I've seen Marvel Legends where the title is "John Walker Captain America" and I see a toy-biz Wonder Man there. Or a DC Multiverse Lobo with a DC#1000...

I think for us it was case-by-case and dependent on the type and value of items that were stolen. I remember when we had a number of people that were consistent thieves and they'd be stopped right...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

From the swaps that I've seen at TRU. It's usually two things:

1) The employee doesn't pay attention to the fact that the figure art and windowed figure doesn't match. (One example of this was...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

I will say that it's been extremely rare to nonexistent that I find swaps at Gamestops. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen, but I think you're more likely to get denied a swap return at Gamestop...
