Re: Has anyone watched the new Bob and Doug McKenzie Cartoon?

I haven't seen it and without Rick Moranis it just doesn't feel right. I know he doesn't want to have anything to do with show biz, but I wouldn't want to see a Ghostbusters without Aykroyd or a...

Re: McFarlane Sucks?

Yeah, it seems like a pretty flawed sales strategy though. I mean in Vancouver you only sell Luongo really. So what good is the rest of the line? I know many stores that just won't touch the stuff...

Re: Marvel Minimates appreciation thread

Just opened my first Minis, the new Cap and Red Skull set. So cool!

Cap has a mask and a separate gun and knife with holsters for them and he's got a really nice metallic paint for the red and...

Re: Blamoids! What Do You Think?

People who like them try to tell me that the style is supposed to be loose representations based on very basic geometric shapes. Just sounds like a stupid style to me. :p

Blamoids! What Do You Think?

http://phlevel.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/blammoids4.jpg

So these are DC's answer to Mighty Muggs I guess? What do you guys think? I think they look like ass personally but I know some people...

Re: McFarlane Sucks?

I completely agree, but without any real licenses I don't know what they can really do. I mean even their home brand Spawn has gone down the crapper in many people's eyes. I hear that the company has...

Re: McFarlane Halo Odd Pods

I think they look ugly. neca is also doing some Gears of War and TMNT Might Mugg rip offs. I don't like them either but I'd rather support them than McFarlane.

Oh and DC is doing those Blamoids...

Re: Terminator Salvation Figures Released in Canada

The robots look pretty good, but I guess they couldn't get the American Psycho's permission to use his likeness? All of his figures have little bandannas to cover their faces!

Re: Beechy's wants.

There's a selection at Metropolis Comics and oys at Metrotown Mall and they're decently priced.

Dude! Freaking sweet!

Care to drop some knowledge on how you did those energy blasts?

Clearly you've spent some time on these and it shows! Good work!

Re: Marvel Universe 5 votes- who did you pick?

Fantomex
Winter Soldier
Multiple Man
Luke Cage
Firelord

I was tempted to vote for the Stepford Cuckoos, but I know they'd turn out pretty stupid and I'd only vote for them cuz I gotta Morrison...

Re: New Wave of Marvel Mighty Muggs!

Local Comic Shop... I know they're more expensive (they of course have to be) but if I want something and it's there, I don't sweat the extra money. I know too many people who wouldn't pay the cash...

Re: Movies you are looking forward to in 2009

Isn't Ong-Bak 2 supposed to come out this year?

I'm down for that.

Fast and Furious... I can't believe I just admitted that.

Inglorious Basterds
White Out
Astro Boy
Sherlock Holmes

New Wave of Marvel Mighty Muggs!

Got to see the new Muggs in person yesterday. I think they just came out that day!

The Wolverine will sell like crazy obviously with the new movie coming out. I'm sure Sabretooth will do just as...

Price Hike on All Japanese Products?

I was just wondering how people felt about the impending price hike on their Gundams? Due to the yen gaining strength, or maybe our dollar losing strength, all Japanese product, TF, Gundam, paints...

Re: McFarlane Sucks?

The new 10 inch Slash looks okay I guess. But I hate the Guitar Hero line on principal. It's such a lame cash in on some new trend, decided by old suits who watch their kids and think of ways of...

DC Direct Customs

I can't understand in a world of constant repaints and variants Reverse Flash or Zoom isn't done more often! Of course in a perfect world he'd have a different head sculpt to make him look crazy.

Re: McFarlane Dragons!

-The following is purely informational and not just because I'm a hater.

My understanding is that all of McFarlane's non-franchised lines of toys have been cancelled. So unless it's a movie or a...

Re: Marvel 3.75" thoughts.

Ah. Okay, well telling you about finding them on the shelf (or peg as the case may be) in BC isn't really helpful to you.

Well at least you know that they came in to Canada. I'd check Comic...

Re: McFarlane Sucks?

I agree that he did set a certain standard for sculpts in the industry, and I suppose that some of the credit for DC Direct's awsome sculpts probably should go to him, but you can't deny his last...
