Re: New Dollarama Action Figure finds

Has anyone ever seen the Marvel Legends retro 4-inch Spider Woman at Dollarama? I'm still looking for her.

Re: Micro Galaxy Squadron

I've only bought a few items myself (AT-AT and Razor Crest during the sale, they still felt overpriced but these were likely the only two that I felt were must-haves in the MG line).

Also bought...

Re: Star Wars Vintage/Retro Collection

It's very tempting, although I recognized that I would be mostly interested in it for the retro Kenner astromech moreso than the vehicle itself. I hope they sell that droid as a standalone figure...

Re: Star Wars Vintage/Retro Collection

It seems to have become standard practice by those Putnam Putz people in charge that anytime they do a major overhaul of the chain e.g. installing HMV into their stores, they make the consumers pay...

Re: GameStop Policy Changes

Unfortunately this hobby is in trouble. And Hasbro seems to be in such dire shape that we're only going to get cheaper quality products (or very expensive if we want that same level of quality) or...

Re: GameStop Policy Changes

I guess we should be thankful that they haven't gone the same route as TRU and put a total ban on returning any item considered a "collectible" (as my local TRU has).

At least for now. That...

Re: G.I. Joe Classified Series 6 inch discussion

Keep in mind that due to a recent policy change, if the item isn't over $100 (I think) then you have to pay for them to ship it from another store to your local Gamestop. The employee cited that...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

I'll be curious to know if the 97 Cyclops is a color match to the original release. I'd like to put the original head onto this newer body since it has the proper yellow straps (and not the stupid...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

100% agree. That new Transformers 5-pack has the Earthrise Hound that all the TF collectors want, a mostly new sculpt, and Hasbro deliberately packs it with 4 repainted figures/old sculpts. The set...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Whew, that's a relief. I paid something like $115+tax for the deluxe Mojo with Daz and LS not that long ago. Would've kicked myself if it went down to $25 so soon after.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Was this the regular Mojo or the deluxe set that had Longshot and Dazzler?

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

The fact that Gamestop adds $1 to the MSRP continues to annoy me to no end. I was going to preorder two figures from them and then just stopped myself from going ahead. Just don't feel like rewarding...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

In their recent youtube video, ToySnowman mentioned that they stopped their last sale prematurely because they were doing so much business and didn't want to overload their staff fufilling the...

Re: New Dollarama Action Figure finds

Thanks, the limbs look a bit loose for my tastes but as a simply something that just stands there unposed and looks nice it might be worth the $5 pickup.

Re: New Dollarama Action Figure finds

I've been tempted at buying some of these given the cheap price, but what's the articulation like? Any ball joints? Or is it all swivel?

Re: New Dollarama Action Figure finds

There's literally an entire case of that Mysterio at the Yonge and Steeles Centerpoint store in Ontario. I'm talking about 12 of that Mysterio.

Re: GameStop Policy Changes

These CEOs are all idiots and it would not shock me whatsoever that they are just trying to get short-term profit gains by making these customer-unfriendly measures so that their stock options are...

Re: Your worst figure purchase in 2023?

Does that Trump figure even have any articulation? I don't see any joints even at the neck.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

It could just be a temporary increase for the month of January, since this is the month where they are doing the spend $100, save $25 (or spend $50 and save $10) promotion. This way the actual...

Re: New Dollarama Action Figure finds

That actually makes far more sense. He wasn't a deluxe so unless She-Ra and Roboto are also on the pegs, no reason for him to be.

Re: G.I. Joe Classified Series 6 inch discussion

Yup, thank you Trudeau for CERB and saving the livelihoods of millions of Canadians during the pandemic. And I know more than a few toy collectors who used that money to buy some of the more...

Re: Your worst figure purchase in 2023?

McFarlane Batman '66 Robin. I preordered him because I was really impressed with the sculpt and facial likeness, but the arms do not rotate forward and the shoulders only allow for the arms to kind...

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion

That is so much better than the preview photos. But Hiati being too tall is a buzzkill because the hair and face are very good and I might've preordered her if not for the uglier prototype photos...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Well the sign at my TRU did say that Nov 30th was the last day of that BOGOHO sale. Too bad, I would've bought some more stuff if they kept it going (although there's probably not much good...

Re: G.I. Joe Classified Series 6 inch discussion

I still can't get over how tan Ripper looks in your photos compared to Buzzer. Did Hasbro mess up the plastic on Ripper or something?

Not sure I'm going to get Ripper if he doesn't match up...
