Bring cash!
I'm not sure how it works at Fan Expo Canada, but when I attended Fan Expo Vancouver, some of the sellers and comic artists there only accepted cash.
Bring a big backpack! It will be easier to lug your haul around the convention.
Also I would suggest bringing some snacks and drinks in case you are stuck in a lineup for awhile.
