wanted to add after I did some research. In 1974 Alberta raised its minimum wage from $2.00 to $3.00 by 1977. That's a 50% increase. In 2018 ours goes to $15 from $11.20 which is only a 33% increase. and the years after 1977 were amazing!! Some of the best years for figures.
