Yeah probably even more so because of the retail price.

I took a quick look on eBay and most of the retro figures are sitting around the $20-$25 retail price (sold items). The vehicles are a little higher, but I have a sealed 25th Hiss and maybe I'll get $40-$50 if I sold it now. The retro boxes help the vehicle prices stay a bit higher.

The figures are on ok cards, but not really that much better than the 25th cards (IMO). Also how much different, better are they than the 25th versions?

All this is me just making the point that if you look at the pricing of sold stuff on eBay, there is not much growth on modern Joe stuff, unless it is "rare". Which is pretty much the trend for anything made in the past 15 years. Also the real problem for anyone thinking these will see big gains are 1) retail price which is stupid (almost $20 really?) And 2) small fandom. GI Joe has a smaller fandom than Star Wars, Marvel, Transformers, etc. So the demand is lower.

While it is great to see the line back, the exclusives seem to be the only items selling out. So it is more of a wait and see how the rest of the line will do down the road. The sad part is that in the US some of the retro stuff was found on deep discount both at Walmart and 2nd tier retail.
