It was a ghost town, no one showed up. Be glad that you did not sell there as everyone that setup is losing money.

Re: SuperFan ComicCon - May, 17-19, 2014
Thanx for letting me know. I attended the WesT TO CardShow instead and that was pretty bad too. My table and 1 other were the only ones selling toys and I made just enough to cover the cost of the table. Avoid that monthly show at all costs as it's for Sports Card Collectors only. The Holiday weekend didn't help either show I bet.

Yeah a new show the first long holiday weekend of the summer? Not ideal.
Honestly I think the GTA market has become way too crowded with shows. Between Colin's shows, Fan Expo, the different comiccons, and every other niche show, it really is getting to be too much.
Add on, for me personally, the fact that the "dealers" are getting to be the same people every show, I just don't attend them the way I used to attend.

Re: SuperFan ComicCon - May, 17-19, 2014
One dealer spent $3200 in booth space, only to sell 3 things all day Saturday. By 5 pm he had covered up his tables with table cloths and had abandoned the event for the day as he was loosing money every hour paying people to be there.
I totally agree that there are too many people trying to run shows these days, there isn't enough room in the market for new shows, especially when the people that are promoting it are not fans of what they are promoting, but are just looking for a way to make a quick buck.

I honestly stopped going to fan expo because of the promoter and his tactics of squish them in like sardines!! ( I attended it when less then 200 ppl had gone to it) At least at these smaller conventions I get to mingle with friends and find what I want! I even make the connections to trade and sell, where would you ever find that at fan expo?

The crazy thing is they were telling vendors they were going to be doing a show next year and if they booked now they would get a discount. Not sure who is going to do that show next year if it actually happens.
