Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion

So was this ever actually available for home delivery or did it sell out that quick?

Probably sold out that quick. I got everything I wanted on order with Home Delivery though. Don't care for the Destroyer Droid so didn't even realize it was store pickup only available.

No idea but It's part of why I'm passing on her until she goes on sale, which she most definitely will as I don't think it's a figure that will sell well.

Just curious, but did anyone ever see Fives at retail?

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion

I had over 120 black series figures in 2022 yadda yadda yadda I now have about 15 or so.

Bought a Gamorrean guard a couple days ago. just received archive Palpatine from Amazon. Already have the first Palp release but it looked dumb sitting on a throne with a plastic skirt sticking up.

Unless they release an awesome looking Darth Bane without the bug armor on his face then I am happy to say that I am done collecting Star Wars forever.

The irony is that I'm not even displaying any Star Wars figures, goes straight in a bag and in storage. Just wanted to finally retire the collection for good.

I can feel you on that. I also sold most of my black series collection a few years ago. Now i only have 6 or so but I'm rebuilding it with only characters I absolutely must have from the prequel and CW era. The figures just cost too much now to come with as little as they do for me to want to pay full price regularly for them. Plus I collect other lines that I enjoy more and I'd rather put money into. As much as I love Star Wars (which is the only thing keeping me collecting black series in any capacity) the figures just objectively aren't very fun. Limited articulation, no effect pieces, hardly any accessories, no swap out hands. I'd really love to dump more money into this line but it hasn't evolved since it began. Even Vintage gets more accessories and value these days and it's sad.

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion

I agree, BS is not a bang for your buck line. Especially when compared to something like GI Joe Classified.

I also don't like modern Star Wars media. There's a few good things to watch but everything goes south quick when it comes to what I want from Star Wars.

Finishing the collection was on my mind for a while so I just pulled the trigger so I can be finally done with it.

Yes, I saw him available for in store only around 5ish when I preordered the figures I wanted on the same day.

Don't think he ever did. I never saw him but the Walmarts in my area don't have a lot of Black Series in stock.

But I also don't remember seeing a news thread for him.
