Struck out on multiple Walmart locations asking to see if they could release the Spider-Man waves. Only found two locations where Shocker and Hammerhead were released.

Not sure what you mean by only those two were released. They are shipping to Walmarts in case assortments of all six. The other four were most likely sold out

Yeah I meant that they were the only two that I saw on pegs. When I went to the other locations to see if they could bring it out from the back, I was told that their system was unreliable (?)

I've asked some Walmart employee's to look up sku's or to check to see if they had more figures in the back and they would basically say to f--- off (in a nice way).

And yes, the prices on the secondary market are actually cheaper that the current ML MSRP.

This was a few years back, but I remember overhearing a Walmart employee tell another employee that if a customer ever asks them to check for some toy in the back, to say that they can't or that they don't have it in stock.
