Some TRU's have already finished with the renovations for the new addition like the one in Mississauga. I'm not really understanding this move on this new owners part though. People already aren't buying physical media like they used to anymore and even department stores have scaled back significantly. If the prices they have at Sunrise Records are anything to go by, I can't see this doing too well. The manga and vinyl will probably do fine but that's about it..

Also they ditched video games. For what? More dead/dying collectible stuff? If anything why not ride out video games instead? I would argue that they are by far more popular than pretty much any other physical form of media today, and even they are going by the wayside.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion
Guess he owns the merch and has the floor space in TRU so he figures he’ll use it to move the stuff.

They ditched video games because they were a very high theft item and couldn't compete with Walmart and Gamestop.

Without going too off topic here, I think manga and books have started to overtake physical games if they haven't already. They have much more presence in stores these days than games.

$35.99 on Amazon. GameStop jacks up the price.
