Re: LEGO Movie Sets Released in Canada
Picked up two of the sets so far and 8 of the CMFs.
Castle Cavalry and Ice Cream Machine, they do look a tad odd, but their 2-1 nature means you can build them as regular looking things too. I actually think this is one of the best Themes LEGO has offered in a while, and it is also the one with the most female mini-figures in set ratio compared to any past Themes in LEGOs history. 10 of the sets so far include a Female character, even though 5 of them are the main protagonist Wildstyle, and to top it off you can pick up 6 female characters in the Collectible blind bag line, which is a record number for such lines.
Definitely awesome on LEGOs part.

I didn't like the sets at first but in hand they look cool. Once the movie is out they will fly off the shelves. Kids aren't looking at them yet. I am sure they will soon.

I used the massage method. You get a lot of looks from other customers and security. I don't care what other people think.
Look at the accessories and try to feel for them is the easiest way to find the one you are looking for. Example extra legs, 2x2 flat pieces, 2x1 flat pieces, long gun, pistol, etc.

I totally agree with you! If other customers are giving weird looks, so be it. The massage method works. All that counts is getting the figures you want. I would have thought they are use to it by now especially with series 10 and people hunting for Mr. Gold.

Normally I would too but I usually blind grab a few the first time I see a new wave. That way I can at least get the checklist and see what the special pieces to look for
