That was a gong show. I've tried to forget all the details, haha. Long story short, in June 2020, there was a problem with my Amazon order, almost an hour to get it fixed, then I notice they somehow changed the shipping address, so I get that fixed. About 10 minutes later, I get an email that they have cancelled the whole order!
I managed to get one ordered anyway.
In Sept 2020, Amazon apparently put him up for pre-order again. I never saw it personally, but was told about it. In June 2021, they started shipping what was apparently all the orders from Sept 2020, ignoring the June orders. I was like, "Waitaminute, is this information accurate?" and emailed customer service to find out. I did not receive a reply, but almost immediately got a shipping notification. I finally received it in July 2021.
I'm sure you all have similar stories. Collecting is supposed to be fun, and it feels more and more like work! I like what Robimus was saying about pre-orders being all hype. It certainly is a valid point. Most of the items are relatively easy to find or have had new versions released - not counting Arctic Storm Shadow of course.
...and I really only bought Arctic Storm Shadow because I thought Snake Eyes with the blue suit, red ski goggles, and Shredder's face plate wouldn't be far behind....
