That was a gong show. I've tried to forget all the details, haha. Long story short, in June 2020, there was a problem with my Amazon order, almost an hour to get it fixed, then I notice they somehow changed the shipping address, so I get that fixed. About 10 minutes later, I get an email that they have cancelled the whole order! I managed to get one ordered anyway.

In Sept 2020, Amazon apparently put him up for pre-order again. I never saw it personally, but was told about it. In June 2021, they started shipping what was apparently all the orders from Sept 2020, ignoring the June orders. I was like, "Waitaminute, is this information accurate?" and emailed customer service to find out. I did not receive a reply, but almost immediately got a shipping notification. I finally received it in July 2021.

I'm sure you all have similar stories. Collecting is supposed to be fun, and it feels more and more like work! I like what Robimus was saying about pre-orders being all hype. It certainly is a valid point. Most of the items are relatively easy to find or have had new versions released - not counting Arctic Storm Shadow of course.

...and I really only bought Arctic Storm Shadow because I thought Snake Eyes with the blue suit, red ski goggles, and Shredder's face plate wouldn't be far behind....

I think Pre-Orders can be a good way for Hasbro to gauge how much they should order... if a wave sells out fast, then they can just put in another production order to the factory and put out another run.

I still pre-order, but honestly it's probably not necessary. The last few TRU's I've been to have been practically over-flowing with Joes. Gamestop, E-Tailers... Even a few Walmarts around here are loaded up with them. Aside from a few exclusives or army-builders that might be a problem, the recent waves are pretty easy to find

It's on Amazon but from a third-party seller.

Neat. I wouldn’t mind one, but since I’m not exactly a huge Chuckles fan, price will definitely be the deciding factor if I bother trying to get one or not.
So this is the ideal exclusive for me…. definitely not a dealbreaker if I miss out.
My condolences to any Chuckles fan who does miss out on this figure though

Do we have any idea whether these SDCC exclusive figures like Serpentor, Dr. Mindbender and now Chuckles will eventually get a mainline release (minus the extras)?
