It's almost like Hasbro gave up trying to hide the fact that they were increasing prices by slowly going up a $1 every few months. Comic figs and deluxe figs literally went up a whole $5-$6 all at once. That's nuts. I'm really curious to know why we keep seeing price hikes constantly. We live on the same continent for crying out loud. It's not like they have to ship these figures by boat to us or something after it arrives stateside from China.

Weren't the comic figures always more expensive because of the "fancy" packaging?

I couldn't tell you cause I don't know Hasbro's logic. But I'm guessing it would have to be the fancy packaging considering nearly all of the comic figures are mostly re-use or repaints with very little new tooling, if any at all.
