Re: The AFN Star Wars Cantina Social Thread
Wow, Riptide is pretty different from Crosscurrent. I think I like it but it has lots of killing of characters with potential.

Re: The AFN Star Wars Cantina Social Thread
I really liked Riptide despite it being a little different. Love the characters of Soldier and Grace.
It's now possible that Ben Skywalker now has a genetic half sister running around the galaxy.

Re: The AFN Star Wars Cantina Social Thread
Here's a question for all you collectors out there... What side do you consider Embo and Seripas to be on... And by which I mean, do you consider them to be enemies of the Jedi, unaffiliated with the Seperatists, or do you prefer to think of them as Shades of Gray Anti-Heroes who work alongside the Republic.
Most characters are fairly easy to classify when choosing how to display them, most Bounty Hunters either work for the Empire/Jabba or at least work against the Heroes of that Galaxy Far, Far Away. But in this instant I'm not sure, my only real exposure to them are their appearances in the Clone Wars and they weren't exactly identifiable as villains.
I was just curious how you saw them. Personally I tend to lean more towards Anti-Heroes, since they weren't portrayed villainous and the character blurbs on the card refer to them helping the Felucians against the Seperatists.

Re: The AFN Star Wars Cantina Social Thread
They are one their own side. I don't think Embo at the very least would be very pro Republic. I believe he appeared as a jailed background character in one of the Ziro episodes.
There are a ton of characters that don't fall onto one side or the other, unfortuanatly the show doesn't really portray that.

Re: The AFN Star Wars Cantina Social Thread
Almost done Shadow Games and I think its alright. There are a of little internal inconsistencies that kinda jump out at me, but that just because I'm too into this stuff. The story itself is kinda fun.
I also read Crimson Empire 3 #2, very cool to see Nom anor again, just in time for his soon to be released figure no doubt.
Dark Times: Out in the Wilderness is good, but kinda getting repetitive. Dass Jennir is going to vanquish some more slavers. Its still cool, but this is about the fourth group of slavers he's dealt with already.

20th Anniversary Heir to the Empire is awesome. Its great reading about all the little behind the scenes details.
And Heir was in a question on Jeopardy, very cool.
The Nuvo Esva/Thrawn short story is good as well and it kinda serves as a final chapter to Choices of One.
