They look gigantic and the faces look ridiculously goofy, honestly. Some of the joints make the sculpt look weird. I also never liked the proportions. I was a huge fan of the TMNT as a kid, don't get me wrong but I prefer the modern toys from this line more (other than the extra toe).

I might buy them when on sale, but not for $22-25.

Found all of the figs (modern and classic) at TRU Hamilton today. Picked up the modern set of Turtles. They were $10.99 each, Classics $21.99, van was $44.99.

Awesome figs, happy hunting!

Re: New Ninja Turtles Pre-Order at TRU.ca

I was at Wal Mart yesterday and they got in the vehicles. What's the point of buying the vehicles if there's no figures to use them with........ This is just retarded.
However, I was really curious with the skateboard with Playmates advertising it as being able to do stunts. I've been waiting for it to come out since I got the set of new Nick toons TMNT.
Turns out the skateboard has some neat tricks itself and does take some practice to perform cool stunts with it's rev up motor.

people love these, but they have derp eyes. And they arent to scale with any other figure on the planet. i like the concept, but with all the joins sometimes holding the weapons can be a pain.

What? These guys are $17-22 online? I was in TRU yesterday and though they were sold out, I did see the tags were they were and I specifically remember they were $11. Which I thought was a lot cheaper than what they were going for at TFcon. Now I know why they were sold out.

You probably saw the tags for the 4-5" Nickelodeon TMNT figures, not the Classic turtles, if they're who you're talking about (they go for $21.99 at TRU).

Finally, someone that agrees. Believe me, I love the classic TMNT due to nostalgia but those classics versions are way off and from most angles look creepy. The 4/5" ones feel a lot more classic in terms of the personality in their sculpts.

Well there are 4 inch figures that are 10.99 from the new cartoon, then they have jumbo figures that go for a bit more. Then the retro turtles from the 80s go for 21.99
