Quit Action figure collection

I've stopped collecting late last year. I simply have lost interest. (No regrets)

I have approx 5 bins full of action figures, stands and nick knacks. Looking to give away. 97% are in good shape.

Don't want to just give them away to anyone. Looking for someone who is going to be mature with them.

Will now be selling each figure for a dollar each. I have no time or patients for that.

Since I've been getting a lot of messages, I won't be responding to any messages until I can figure out how I'll disturb them by the end of the day Tomorrow.

I live in the Durham Region. I'll discuss further information later.

[B]
MIXTURE OF:
MARVEL LEGENDS
MARVEL UNIVERSE
MARVEL SELECTS
DC FIGURES
NINJA TURTLES.

2 Dollar for Marvel Selects
1 Dollar for Legends, Universe, DC stuff, Build a figures

$700 for whole collection

Will be selling stands and loose accessories.

Meeting spot in Durham Region. NO online selling.

Will discuss more details in private.

Will sell to the first to confirm basis.

DarkGreen"]Note:
Most (98%) figures are in great shape.
Some are missing parts and limbs.

I've ran into the same situation myself more then once. Suddenly losing inerest in the hobby.

If space is not an issue. I recommand temporary put everything away. Put them in the basement and forget about them for awhile. Who knows, a year or 2 later something might spark your interest again.

Re: Quit Action figure collection

I came across some collectors in the past more then once who sold me their stuff strictly based on the fact that in their opinion their action figures were going into right hands after they saw my collection. They were convinced i would appreciate their toys as much as they did and not just resell them.

Re: Quit Action figure collection

Don't want to jump on the "gimme gimme" band wagon, but if you're looking for a good home my GF calls me a Marvel Legends, Star Wars and TMNT hoarder. LOL.

I totally understand where you are coming from though, there have been times where I tell myself that I'm done collecting figures or that I'm going to liquidate my collections...but I can never bring myself to let the hobby go.

Like an above poster had mentioned, you may want to pack everything away and revisit the idea later on as letting everything go on a whim may end up the wrong decision at the end of the day.

Hope you make the right call and if you end up letting the collection go, I hope it goes to a good home and not someone looking to cash in. Good luck.

Re: Quit Action figure collection

I have been considering many a time to get rid of my stuff and to just stop. Every time I made that decision some toyline like lets say marvel legends pulls me right back in.
You just have to make sure that you really do want to quit.
Take a look at my collection and see for yourself what I'm into. I do not resell what I get. Like so many of us here I appreciate action figures for what they are. I like to immerse myself into diverse lines from different decades.

Re: Quit Action figure collection

I've been thinking about it for months of what I want to do with them.

I mind says to keep them although all they do is sit in the basement taking up space.

So I'm confident in my decision no matter what.
