Yep, but at least it is big enough to kind of warrant the price (in US dollars at least).


Here is a quick breakdown of dimensions for some of the biggest Haslabs to date: (in inches)



Khetanna: 49x15x17
Razor Crest: 30x20x10.5
Unicron: 30 (planet mode) 27 (robot mode)
Galactus: 32 (height)
Dragonfly: 34x13x11
Ghost: 34.5x28x13


So the Ghost comes in around second (maybe first) for size in the Haslab realm. The Khetanna was longer, and taller(due to the sails), but it is only about half as wide. Overall I think the Ghost will swallow up the most space of any Haslab due to it's dimensions. Unicron and the Khetanna are close, but I think the Ghost is overall a bigger piece for shelf/display space.


Also inflation is a factor here, but not that much. I wonder if they had upped the funding total (10,000 instead of 8,000) if they couldn't have knocked another $25 off the price. I think if they had come in under $500 it would have been even more buzzed about online. Still $500 is less than what I was expecting, I thought $600+.

Well that is a great start to the project. It could very well fund within 24 hours. However I think it might take a couple days. Either way a great start, and a much needed win for the SW team after a couple of terrible Haslab outings.

It blows my mind how much basic toy prices have risen over the past, well, near twenty years. Since we started this site really.

The 2008 Legacy Millennium Falcon was around $150 USD when it came out. At a glance fairly comparable in scale I'd say.

Then in 2020 we got the Galaxies Edge repaint with Chewie & Hondo, $400 USD. I swear they were only $450 here, but maybe I'm not recalling correctly.

Now, the Ghost, $500 USD, a 200% plus increase from 2008 for a similar product. With the caveat than you can't drive into a TRU and pick this one up.

So like $900 Canadian as opposed to $200 for the Falcon in 2008. I know its counting shipping in the $900, but thats still real money out of people's pockets.

Well the steam has definitely gone out of the initial push. It looked like this would easily fund within 24h, but now it seems it will take a couple more days. I guess it will depend on how things go now that people are packing up and leaving SDCC. Once they get home and settle back in will they jump on?


Who knows, but it really doesn't make a difference for funding. This will fund, it is just a question now of when it will finally fund. Much like the Dragonfly I think we'll have a boring couple weeks ahead of us.

Nice to see it doing well. But, it makes me a little nervous about the next GI Joe Classified Haslab. If Star Wars can support a $500 project, then they?re going to take that as a sign to go big on the next GI Joe project
