It wouldn't surprise me if it got to that point. Black series is already there with more exclusives than main retail releases. The only line that actually has more main wave than exclusives these days is Marvel Legends.

Twice the price, half the articulation, no major retail distribution. They're boutique collectibles.

I'd have to see the finished product to decide on these. Civi heads look bad though. Why is it so surprising Hasbro let them do these figures though? They have different price points and Super 7 already paid Hasbro a bag so they get paid regardless.

You're getting double the accessories though. I think that offsets the price and lack of articulation.

I would probably still get the goldar, since I want him to big bigger in scale. Don't know how I feel about the putty. Probably skipping the rangers since they look a bit off to me. If I want a second collection of rangers, may as well go fully into that rabbit hole and get the Mezco or three zero versions lol

Part of me feels like it's to off set things like the pandemic hit for toys.
If Super7 is willing to pay, plus Hasbro already got first dips with the Lightning Collection already released all the MMPR power rangers, Goldar, Putties, Rita and Lord Zedd. Won't hurt their sales.

Well Wave 9 was supposed to be released on Amazon.ca today but they're listed as

"Temporarily out of stock.
We are working hard to be back in stock as soon as possible."

I'm more annoyed that Amazon.ca doesn't price protect pre-orders on action figures. SPD Green was $33 when I ordered, but dropped down to $25 before going out of stock.
