Yeah, mainly because Transformers makes new molds, unlike many of the Marvel Legends and Black Series figures which recycle so many figures.

Better value but I don't know about quality. I've heard too many horror stories of Transformers breaking on people as of late. Specifically the Beast Wars Kingdom stuff.

I've basically stopped collecting everything Hasbro related except for Black Series but even that I'm on the fence about. Especially with Hasbro cheaping out a lot lately. $38 after tax for a recycled mold with some retooling and next to no accessories is just pushing it for me.

I'd take Marvel or Star Wars over TF anyday right now. I'm only in the market for the big bots ie. Scorponok and kinda in on the Kingdom line for the Beast Wars stuff filling in the collection I had as a kid and still display today.

Transformers prices are getting higher...while granted their look is getting better...Marvel and Star Wars dont turn their toys into hollow honeycomb shells quite like Transformers does.

Even the MP line is pricing me out - luckily with so few releases it's easier to justify 1 or 2 of those a year. That and FansToys Thomas and Beserk whenever he's released.

Yeah, mine shipped from the US, which means Amazon.ca didn't actually have them and got their stock from .com instead.

For those whose shipped - when did you order and when did it ship? Trying to decide if I screwed myself over by canceling and reordering the next day at the significantly lower price.

Ordered March 31st. I think it shipped on April 2nd. Don't cancel the first order, just place a second order. It looks like they will receive more stock on April 15th.
