Re: Marvel Legends discussion

I keep missing out on these

I went ahead and ordered cases for Ragnorok and Knights from BBTS

after the currency conversion it works out to $25 a figure

Only problem is I have to drive down 3 hrs to the border to pick them up

I'm waiting for more product to come in to make it worth while

Saves on the hunt at least

If anyone decides they want the entire set of upcoming Legends let me know.

Shipping works out to $4 for the loot

I've been thinking about registering a box for myself at that same shipping outlet, but everytime I think about how much I would have to spend on gas just to get there and come back, it doesn't seem worthwhile for neither the cost nor the time. If your goal was to not have to hassle with hunting them down in the wild, wouldn't driving down there to pick them up be just as much or more than eating the taxes and duty that Customs would ding you with if you had them shipped to your door?

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

I received the Thor wave today from tru. I didnt collect comics character but i wanted the female thor but now i must say this is a great wave Odinson and especially Ares conquered me and fits great with Jane Foster. Hulk is awesome and Loki is the weakest figure IMO.

Personally I cant understand the decision to order from a US retailer. There are many Canadian online retailers that you can order from. Here are a few I use;
https://northmencollectibles.ca Free shipping on orders over $99
https://www.canucktibles.ca $14.99 flat rate shipping, up to 10lbs

Both of them have let me down on numerous occasions. Northmen most recently.

Their operations are nothing compared to BBTS who pretty much never oversell product or anything like that. It's really tough to hang in there for the smaller retailers and then be left empty handed as all the other opportunities fly by and sell out. I just can't be that generous anymore.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Sorry to hear that. I've never had a problem with either one.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

I'm assuming gas will cost $80

BBTS offers free shipping so in the end I'm saving $40 per case

It makes sense if you are ordering 3-5 cases

Plus the Hasbro Toy Shop exclusives go live next week

FedEx charges to Canadians are ridiculous

Also Toys R US website has way better selection of figures including the AForce 6 pack

My friends and I are planning to go down to Great Falls for the weekend

I'll post my experience with SweetGrass Shipping when I return

You'd pay GST on the amount not duties on action figures

Ironically it's still cheaper than buying in Canada

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

If the Spider Man build a figure Lizard wave comes out by September I'll wait for all 4 cases to arrive before making the trek

It's not just figures but video game exclusives from Best Buy and GameStop are cheaper even after the currency conversion

Ie

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Collectors Edition is $160 USD on Best Buy US

Here it's $250

Conversion works out to $200

---

I'm waiting for the right time to pick up several parcels

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

My local Walmart finally put the dozens of Hulkbuster wave leftovers on clearance....$7.50 if anyone still needs a Valkyrie or Hawkeye....they have two empty pegs in their new section, one marked Thor legends, the other marked Netflix....now to beat the scalpels there for my Hela and Odinson....sigh
